larrivee 3 Report post Posted February 11, 2010 Why did you remove my note? They do need to enable regular youtube embed codes. It's easier than having to maually remove the video code from the url.

IniNew 53 Report post Posted February 12, 2010 how did he get that far from the bench with them on?I asked my friend the same question. He was pretty far out there.
Hockeyman11385 1 Report post Posted February 12, 2010 Probably used the edge of the boards to push off, fell, then slid on the fresh surface.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted February 12, 2010 I'd imagine if anyone jumped over the boards with skate guards on, that they'd go pretty far. I don't even think my skate touches the ice within a foot of the boards, add in the momentum of the jump and you can easily slide a pretty good distance. Race4LastPlace 31 Report post Posted February 12, 2010 ah, gotcha. Understandable now. It was just odd the only shot was him trying to get back to the bench...
cptjeff 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2010 I suspect he'll be hearing about that one for a while.Really, how did he not realize they were on before the game itself? Surely he would notice during warmups...

Steve_v3 289 Report post Posted February 12, 2010 Do they not have rubber mats to walk on?Not sure why, maybe to give extra protection to his edges. I skate with a guy from the Czech Republic & he wears his skate guards all the way to the bench.
iceholes 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2010 thats funny stuff... we had a guy wear them going out to the ice for the first time at a tournament... took him three tries trying to get up before he realized he had his guards on... its so darn funny to watch for sure... lol
Tikkanen 1 Report post Posted February 14, 2010 I went out to play pickup and forgot to take one skate guard off, almost tore my groin. It's kind of a weird feeling since you're used to what it feels like to step onto the ice.
