Extended Length Pant Options?

Recommended Posts

Since pants are sold by waist size, thin players often end up with pants that are too short.

I like the Warrior Hustler pants as you can custom order them longer 1-2". But the price is a little steep.

What other options are there out there for extended length pants?

And I don't want to see anyone post "Cooperalls". ;)

I just noticed that Bauer sells the One75 in tall sizes. Does anyone know how much more length is added to the tall size?

The tall Supremes are about an inch. For the best options, if you can find a Tackla, they have many options (but I believe the license is up in Canada, so no idea who is making/distributing them this coming season). I believe the new Reebok 11K pants give you the option of unzipping a zipper around the waist to give more length.

I believe that Eagle is the new Tackla?? I see on Eagle's website that some of their models look like Tacklas and are available in tall lengths.

Vaughn is no longer selling under the Tackla name in Canada, they are using the Eagle name in both the US and Canada. Tackla is still available in the US through another company.

OK I've ruled out custom Hustlers because the price is insane.

I ventured out to a couple of LHS's in hopes of finding a pair of One75 Talls. Still looking. One LHS worker said they were 2" longer than regular, which would be perfect.

I'll check out those Grafs. Thanks.

Most of the old missions have a 2" adjustmentl, plus you can get them on close out now. I'm 6'5 with a 36" inseam and they are perfect for me. I also think Sande has an adjustable length pant too...

Well I've come to the conclusion that it's virtually impossible to get what I'm looking for right now since tall orders are usually custom. I was looking closely at the Eagle PX88's and called them up. It could be ordered, but takes like 9 weeks. I might as well just wait for the LHS's to get all their new stock of stuff and search again.

Out of curiousity, how tall are you? I'm 6'2 and wear an XL Bauer 8000. In reality they are probably an inch too short but I've never had a problem with them.

Not tall at all. I'm about 5'10", but have almost no body fat on me. ;) So when I buy my appropriate waist size, the pants fall a bit shorter than I would like. It was pointed out to me that if I kneel on the ice, a nice gap is made between my shins and pants - right at puck level. I'm sure that many other people are ok with this, but I'm all about full protection. That and my pants look a little silly as they are too short IMO

kinda like me i'm 6' and barely fit into mediums, and use 14" shins which i now found out 15" (maybe even 16s) would be way better after a couple painful experience's :P but because the medium kinda "sags" on me it doesn't look short

14" shins? I use 15" shins and I'm shorter. lol

OK found these and they look very interesting! It has an extended length size of 1.5". Anyone see these in person or have any experience with them? They look pretty protective.

I have the One75 Tall pants. They add about 1" in length. I've been looking for something longer myself like a +2. Hustlers are way too much. Which of the Tackla's is best value: 5000, 9000, 951 ?

I like my 9000's.

They are longer than any other pant I tried on without going two over. The only problem is I went bigger than I needed and they are a little loose.

I'm 6'2" 180 and wear a M in the One75 pants. Would I go for a 50 or 48 in Tacklas.

I am 6'7 300lbs and wear the 56 and it is too big. So I am probably not much of a help for you.

I've had the same problem forever, I'm 6'3" but fit into Large pants, which are a good 2" too short. I think your best bet is Tackla, if you can find out who's distributing them in the US these days. Other than that, every once in a while you'll find extra long pro-stock pants on eBay or elsewhere, old Missions used to extend and don't the 9Ks extend ?

Do the Vapor XXXX or X:60's have the ability to extend length? I thought they were based on the girdle.

@shooter27 - Yes the 2010 9k do extend. Just tried a pair on last weekend in XL. There is a zipper that runs all the way around the waist of the pant. Unzip that and they slide down an inch or so from the waist. For me at 6-1 230#, they felt great. They were $100. Best fit yet!

I wear 2-piece pants, L upper and XL lower. I think that gives the pants an extra 2 inches or so. It's not the easiest of solutions, as it will require some digging around on eBay but it works for me :)

Tall and skinny people struggle with this issue. I have the same problem...waist is a 48-50, but length is a +2. I used to go the Tackla route from the hockey shop, but have been able to find pro stock pants (MHP520) in a large that fit lengthwise and are not too bulky around the waist.

SANDE "the show" pants havea 2" adjustable length feature on them and are a rock solid pant. I highly recommend them for not only their quality but the price too.
