Total One Stick and Vapor X:60

Recommended Posts

So, I've been hearing some speculation about the Total One stick. I've been told that it's like the X:60 and it looks like it in terms of material (textreme). Depending on that, I may want to try another stick, rather than just save up and buy the newest Bauer. I just went through 2 X:60's in less than 5 months. I'm wondering if anyone knows what the flaw of the X:60 is. I think that it's the intelli-sense kickpoint. My X:60 broke right in between both of the kickpoints. I don't really know if this is a coincidence or if somethings up. Is there a flaw in the Intelli-sense, was it the textreme material or was it just a natural break? This will probably steer me whether to buy Bauer again, or try another brand.

Just because they have the same wrap doesn't mean it is the same stick.

Nor does it mean that there's necessarily a flaw in the x60. I've used my x60 for months now and it has held up great.

I plan to try the total one when it comes out, in hopes that it has the blade feel of the one95 over the x60.

I think EVERYONE is praying that the new TotalOne blade doesn't screw around with the feel of its One95 predecessor too much.

Differences according to catalog:

TO vs x60

power core 3 blade core vs aero foam 2 blade tech

amplified mid kick point vs nothing

sqaure double concave shaft dimensions vs micro feel 2 shaft dimensions

ergonomically designed tac sprial texture vs nothing

basically, the TO has a sicker kick point and a different blade. the dimensions are slighty different and the ergonomically thing is just the grip stuff, so really, different blade and better kick.

There's another catalog already? That's sick. And I loved everything about the One 95, I've got one right now off the recall. I'll just cut my losses with the X:60. Do any of you guys know if any Canucks might happen to use a Total One? Maybe if some use it, I'll pick one up earlier at the Canucks sale.

holiday booking. Not sure if JR is putting it up or not, probably not as I don't think last year he did.

If i had to guess, most players currently using the one95 will switch to the TO before this season starts, so, if there would be a sale around august or september you'd probably get one slightly early, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'd bet a smattering of guys were already using the Total One dressed as One95's.

A ton of pros right? So would the only way to actually clarify if a One 95 is a Total One would be to check the grip? It has that spiral-tac. Is there any other ways?

Not sure if that would mean anything. Pros can get pretty much anything they want on a stick so there could be pro stock One95's with the new grip offering and there could be dressed up Total Ones that don't have it.

I would imagine there had to be a handful or two in the Finals, with all the Bauer users in this year's SCF. Sharp, Kane, Richards, Carter, Briere, Gagne, Giroux, etc...all using Bauer, and all using Supreme line sticks minus Giroux.

not really a totalone stick comment but did anyone see this - video its under "talking sticks"- how soft are Briere's blades? Does anyone else know if anyone else prefers this? Why would he?

Great video. I like how he said he drops from 90/87 flex in preseason to like a 75 by end of the year. Briere looked so small next to Pronger.

I would love the luxury of 110+ sticks a year

That would be sooo sick. I could change sticks every period, still have like 20 left over at the end of it all. That's a pretty cool vid though. I'd like to try a 77 flex. Or even just like 82. Just to see if that would change up my style at all.

That blade flexed like an old Mylec neon green plastic street hockey stick!

That vid taught me a couple of things...

1. Since I'm not that strong a guy my choice to use 77 flex is right on the money! I think most beer league players probably use sticks that are too stiff and would benefit from something with more flex.

2. Biere is a dwarf!! My god, Pronger looked MASSIVE next to him.
