What is it about the summer time that makes me go on equipment buying sprees? I'm not like this in the winter. But right now, I keep looking for one thing, finding another and buying it all! Anyone else get like this?

They take the ice out of the arenas where I live during the summer. I still think about hockey often. Buying a little gear during the off season fills the void just a little bit. I also have found some pretty good deals during the summer months.... deals that are hard to pass on.

With all the team sales going on and pro stock returns, there seems to be a lot of gear that is readily available and makes it difficult not to make a purchase. I was at my LHS last night and they had some Eagle gloves in Sharks colors that were begging to be bought.

i feel somewhat guilty because i am funding a bit of this by buying your old/barely use new gear lol...

I have no idea but I do the same thing. I keep thinking "man I'd love some new pants because mine don't have enough protection" and then "man I'd love some new shoulders that are super light and thin"...as if that makes any sense. <_<

While I would love to support my LHS by spending my hard earned money, unfortunately I could not pull the trigger on the gloves for the asking price ($219). Since I work in retail, I'm not even about to ask for a discount; I get that all day long at work and don't feel like bothering the guys at the LHS with the same questions about discounts. I'll be doing a bit of shopping at the Sharks Annual Equipment Sale next week, so I'll post whatever gear that I pick up there. And yes talking gloves would be a sound investment :lol:

True, even though I picked up a new pair of gloves less than a month ago I was SO close to biting when the monkey had PPF's for $99 for one day only. Two days later and I would have jumped all over them too.

Consider these, great tire and half of what Michelin cost. Local instal is easy, have them send them right to the shop.

I was considering Kumho's, Yokos, or a nice set of Hankooks. I had a set of the Hankooks on my Mazda and they were awesome summer tires.
