So is the secret to people's shooting success with ONE95s the fact that they're using softer, and predominantly more correct, flexes??? smile.gif

Potentially, along with the higher kickpoint.

I also noticed more flex with my one95... or at least the kick point/flex zone is larger so you get a more uniform flex in the shaft.. the 87 feels like an 80 even when it is cut.. i love it.

This doesn't relate much to the thread, rather than the Supreme line in general. So my add on is, when I took my One 95 to Base for my fitting, what they'll do is they have a weight machine that "accurately" tests the flex of sticks, comparing them to the industry standard. My 87 flex One 95, showed flex that of an 80. Just an add on, sorry it's off topic.

Was your One95 uncut? Also, how do they account for different flex zones when coming up with an industry standard for flex rating?

They don't. That's why those flex testers aren't as great as they're made out to be. They can accurately test the flex of a mid-kickpoint standard shaft because they flex the center area of the stick, but that wouldn't be the correct way to do a tapered, low-kickpoint stick. I wonder what it would read for something like an X:60, whose shaft has seemingly been artificially stiffened in an attempt to move the kickpoint to a super low spot?

Crap didn't think of the different flex points. I'm not too sure how they account for the differences, just general flex? The Base sticks are low kick, so I suppose that should've been taken into account. But yes, my One 95 was uncut, no other things changed.

the bottom line is, according to few fb here, the TO doesn't seem to have this overrated flex, that's why I'm trying hard find a one95 f77/p92 before they all vanish.

It might not occur to a lot of people, but even if you go for the lowest available senior flex (7x) when you have to cut down your stick like me 2,5inches, you always end up with a +/-85 flex, only taller people or people who like longer stick can enjoy a true 77flex.

And you don't want to go for a intermediate 67flex which would be way too whippy.

Some say the T100 = one95 but haven't had the chance to get my hands on any of them so far.

Agreed. I've been trying to find 77 flex One95 shafts because at 54" long I have to chop off a whopping 4", effectively making them a 92 flex per Bauer's claims. They still feel ~85-90, but you really can't get a low flex after chopping if you take very much off of it.

Feel-wise in the hands, yes. Looks-wise, it is similar. But the blade has the same internals as the X60, so there goes the One95 thing.

I bit the bullet and bought a TotalONE yesterday. I used it tonight for the first time, and I love the feel of it so far. Doesn't seem too far off from my ONE95. However, I did notice it feels significantly stiffer than my 75 flex BASE stick. Bought the senior 77 flex in the TotalONE and it's definitely stiffer. Not sure yet if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Didn't take too many shots tonight. But receiving/giving passes was great.

How's the puck feel in comparison to the One95?

The stick itself will feel stiffer than the One95 because the lower portion of the stick was stiffened (even more) in an attempt to focus the kickpoint on the mid section even more.

Didn't feel too far off in feel from the ONE95, therefore it's a winner right off the bat with me because I loved the ONE95.

How much difference in flex do you think between the one95 and total one? 77 feels like the old 87? I have been using the one85 112 flex and was thinking about giving the total one a try in either the 102 or 87. The only problem is that I have to add at least four inches.

for the totalone shaft, has anyone thought of cutting off at the blade end of the shaft, to maintain flex?

i was just thinking about this the other day, since the blade end is the stiffer end, for someone like me who wants a shorter version of the 54" supreme shafts but doesn't want the huge jump in flex from cutting it down, this seems like a pretty good way to get around that.

So I caved and bought a 102 flex grip tac total one with the p91a and this thing frickin ROCKS! It is by far and away the hardest shooting stick I have ever used. I love it! It does everything my one95's and one85's did plus more and better!!!! The only thing I can say is, the blade to me feels like a x:60 blade. I know it is, but for the guys who have said they thought it still feels like the one95 blade I have to disagree. I own both 60's and 95's and it is much more like the 60. The other thing that will take some getting used to is the stiffness at the bottom and in the blade. I used to be able to shoot snap shots off the toe of the 95 and this one doesn't load as much with the same technique. I wish I had radar because I would guess that my missed shots are as fast as my best shots were and my best shots are faster than I have ever seen. Every at the rink was commenting on it.

Didn't seem worth starting a new thread on, as it's just a stupid question to satisfy my curiosity but,

When I was putting a TotalOne blade into my 10k shaft last night, I noticed it said the following on the hosel, under the glue:

TOTALONE 033

ONE95-P14SR-620R

T.100729

Silly, I know, but does anyone know why it says "One95" on there?

Maybe bauer painted over a one95 blade like easton does for their Synergy Elite/SE16 blades

How are the TotalONEs holding up for the early adaptors? I've read the X:60 had some bad batches of sticks when it was launched...just wondering if the TotalONE is experiencing the same fate. Any update would be appreciated...Thanks!

I had mine for about 3 weeks now, not satisfied with it. 1) afterfirst use there was a lot of loose carbon in the shaft, 2) being on the ice 5 times a week softened up the blade very fast, compared to s19/11k

ive had mine for about a month and a half and absolutely love it. Puck feel is still great, shots are even better and still feels as strong as the day I bought it.

Bringing the dead to life with a question for total one users out there. I used my stick for my first game of the season and scored (tied my season goal total for last season haha) but my hand is bruised at the top of the palm from faceoffs. I like the stick but the boxy shaft is something that may give me a problem. Anybody else have this issue?

Other than that, this stick is great my shots are a lot harder and faster, but that may be from using a 77flex cut down

Durability hasn't been so good for me. (Two Piece)

Shaft broke 3 inches above the end, in the 2nd game on a snap shot. Took the blade out, put it in the AK & it broke the next game on a hard pass.

So both are on the way back to Bauer to see if they will replace. Not exactly thrilled.
