Reebok 7K Pants....input please

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to replace my anchient Tackle 2500 Pants. I was looking at the Reebok 7K Custom pants at Total Hockey...like the looks and the price. Just looking for some feedback from anyone that has used them.

On the Tackle subject, can anyone recommend something in the lineup that has a similar fit to the old 2500's?

GREAT Pant, lightweight, not as much protection as the 11k's, but still a decent enough if you are playing in a rec league. You can really move around in them, and are really comfortable.

IceWarehouse.com has a video review of them, check it out. The specs look pretty much identical to the 9k except for the adjustable length, and I loved the 9k's in store. Great value.

Larger than the suggested fitting guide. I'm a 32" inch waist and the Mediums float all around me. If in between sizes, my suggestion would be to go with the smaller/slimmer.

Don't mean to threadjack, but is that true of all RBK pants? How's the length? Is that true to the suggestions?

thehockeyshop.com has some pro stock Reebok pants for $100. They are from the ECHL. The pants are not posted on their site but if you call them I am sure they can help you out. The pants are very protective, mobile and seem very durable. I originally ordered the CCM pro stock pants that they had on their site but they contacted me and told me they were out of stock.

I agree with ibeck. Great lightweight pants with decent protection for recreational and up to intermediate play. I would move up to the 9K's if your into advanced level though. The 7K's are a very mobile pant but make sure you try them on because the sizing can vary. It all depends on your personal preference, weather you like to wear them loose or tighter. Right now I know a lot of places have last years models on clearance to make room for the 2010/11 model.

I'll tell you that they are definitely great pants. However for me, the durability was sub-par. Zippers are ripped, holes everywhere, and the buttons are gone. I decided today was my last skate with them, I think I can get some new ones now. (Played A last year, spring hockey, tons of summer camps and into this season at A/House.)

I skate in the 7k, they are great pants...very mobile and comfortable. So far very durable as well. Good tailbone protection. You can't go wrong with these pants. 9K is an upgrade but I heard they are heavy.

Do the 7K's have the adjustable length or is that just the 9k and up? The older RBK's I've seen seemed to run longer than other pants. I have long legs and need something with a little more length.

My 7k's got adjustable length. But keep in mind, mine are the 09 model. I dunno about the 10's.
