is warrior overpriced?

Recommended Posts

after comparing gloves and pants from brand to brand, why is warriors top of the line pants and gloves over 100 dollars more? right now im using bauer 4 rolls and reebok pants. i got my 4 rolls for 110 and pants for around 100. I am wondering why warrior franchise gloves are at least 200 dollars and the hustler pants are 200. are they that superior to the other brands?

Bauer has $700 skates, MLX has $800 skates, Easton has $250 sticks. Just about every company out there has high end products that go for a little more cash.

what makes gloves like eagles and pants like tacklas so expensive?

1. Better design and materials

2. They're worth it compared to the items you compared them to

Warrior's high end gloves are Made in Canada with a higher labor rate. Maybe you should be questioning why Warrior's competitors Orient made product is so pricey...

Isamped...it's a good question, but as others have said, an apples to apples comparison is in order.

To add to Subli's great answer, raw materials used also play a big part. The Franchise gloves are comprised of parts/materials from England, Italy, Canada and the USA. All very exotic parts to a glove hand-made by Canadians one at a time on the same factory floor as NHL players' gloves.

Outstanding MC.

The way the original question was framed was myopic at best, and you hit it right on the screws, out of the park.

I wanted to offer an opinion, but I'm a Warrior honk, and have never really had a 'bad' experience with any high end Warrior product.

To Miseaujeu's point regarding the hand made gloves in Canada, my Creepers are probably my favorite pair of gloves I've ever owned. That's to say nothing bad of any of the Eagle gloves that I've loved and worn the last few years, I just feel like my Warrior gloves are on an entirely different level of functionality and comfort. Just an amazing, and amazingly well made, product.

The Warrior pants and gloves I have are nothing short of phenominal in terms of quality. They were both unused from Kris Draper and thankfully fit me perfectly. Wish I could find another pair of the Warrior lowers and gloves in the Tampa Bay version now too.

Didn't want to get too deep into it KP. IMO, the difference in labor cost is a large enough reason.

Yeah, you're right, I couldn't help it. The Franchise and Hustler product deserve to be defended!

Warrior products are very consistent and the quality is outstanding. I love the fact that they MAP all their prices, on all products. A sign that they really stand by their products and won't let them be cheapened by low balling web sites. You can't even compare a Warrior 4-roll to others made in Vietnam or China. I look forward to the day when they have helmets and skates.

Their sticks are reasonably priced compared to the competition. As for the gloves...they have the Bully and Bonafide around the $100 mark, Franchises are high end.

not a big warrior fan as they cycle some of there products to quick. One item I love is the pro bag and I was shocked when I read it was made in Canada
