Harrow Pattern 11

Recommended Posts

that's a beautiful rocker on the pattern 11. what can you say about the depth compared to say, the p88?

It is tough to say. It is a mild heel right at the beginning. I mean it bends from the hosel. Then it is a mild toe kink. So when you look at the heel or the toe it seems mild. When you compare it next to a curve like the vanek you realize it is deeper than you think. The heel gives you a really nice cup for the puck and the toe pulls it back in very well! I think my pattern 10 ovi curve will be fun to screw around with at drop in, but...I think I found the ultimate heel curve in the pattern 11. I will use both sunday at a practice so we shall see.

I will tell you this much though! The ovi pro stock is so much fun to screw around with! Saucer passes are so easy! I can tell I will bounce back and forth between the two frequently. The other thing that did surprise me is that the pattern 11 honestly looks the same at the heel and out to the toe as the pattern 10. The toe wedge and depth is where the two become different. Due to this I do not think it will be hard to switch back and forth. Almost like the 11 is the tamer D man version of the 10.

So I busted a water bottle from glove side with the pattern 10, but I think the curve is nasty and fun to stickhandle with, but I do not do that! If the shot came off right it was so dangerous! If it was even off a little, it was dangerous in the bad way!

The pattern 11 on the other hand was amazing for me as a D man. Stickhandling is great! I stilll need to figure out the right length for the lie, but shooting and passing is amazing! I will adapt well to the curve! And further more I dropped it in an EQ50 shaft and it has gotten many compliments on the feel with three weights in it! I will most definitely try one of Harrows shafts next.

As for using the curve. I instantly noticed that stick handling was effortless with the curve, but the lie and rocker plays different than i am used to. So every once in a while I would miss a shot because I am expecting it to shoot like my p91a. When I shoot it right, my shot is nasty. I would be deadly with this, balance of Easton EQ50 shaft 100 flex and the feel of the Harrow 300 blade pattern 11. Plus the kick of a total one! Dream stick!

The 300 blades fit fine in a Dolomite OPS converted to a shaft.

The 300 blade and shaft feel good (haven't tried the true one piece), and I haven't heard of anyone disappointed in either, only wish they still had them available @ 50% off.

hey guys i just saw this in another post and it reminded me of the #11

http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php?/topic/49922-my-bauer-p14-or-p89/page__view__findpost__p__761684

has anyone had experience with the bauer p89 and the harrow #11?

The pattern 11 is a bigger curve. To me the p89 is more of a mid-heel. The Pattern 11 kinks at the heel right off the bat and then kinks at the toe again. I guess if you add the kink right off the heel to a p89 it would be closer.

Is the hosel on Harrow blades still longer than those from other companies?

Looks like a fun pattern to try.

It's as long as the hosel on current Dolomite DD blades, it's a bit longer than the Bauer ID blade that I have

Anyone try this curve coming off a Sakic clone? If so, how's your experience with it?

Btw, I tried the Ovechkin Pro from Harrow and I have no complaints.. just my forwards are yelling at me for shooting it at their heads 90% of the time from the point.

I just got these blades in the mail. I taped them up before I remembered I said I'd take some pictures of them but here they are:

The picture orders are of the rocker, curve, and then a top view.

That's a wonderfully clean tape job. Well done.

bump and old thread. looking to try this pattern out, can anybody compare it to a p92 curve? for the price you cant beat these blades, and i'd rather try these out than drop 60 on blades from base.

Haven't compared the two, but I've used several of the 300 blades. They are insanely durable and have pretty good puck feel but are a little heavy. With a lighter shaft you'll definitely need to balance the weight on the other hand.
