Yeah, thats a S19 helmet.

Actually its not, pads are different and the finish is obviously different. A little lighter than the S19 too i think.

Its an s19 sprayed matte black. What do you mean by lighter? The shape and vent pattern matches my s19 perfectly.

Me too. People were talking about Warrior helmets and Tikhonov's S19, I don't see how this guy has personally handled either one, or which one he's talking about in the first place.

I think JR is hinting the helmet may be carbon fibre or something similar hence the matte black finish. It seems to me that this would be an obvious evolution for helmets.

if it is a new easton helmet (its %100 the s19 or atleast identical design) then why have Tikhonov test it and not getzlaf or Cammalleri? I think it would make more sense that he sprayed his coyotes s19 black so that it would match his russian team when the coyotes let him play there last season

I posed that question to them when the S19 helmet - they said they wanted to walk before they could run.

However, the matte finish is being used on the baseball helmets now - if you saw the LLWS you'd know what I'm talking about.

Problem is, NHL-spec helmets are shiny. A matte finish would look very out of place in NHL games.

I doubt Getzlaf would test it since he uses a 4500 instead of Easton buckets.
