Yep, it is the RE-AKT.

They are most likely using the same padding in the RE-AKT in the goal mask. It isn't EPP.

his whole suspend-tech thing doesn't make sense to me. If they wanted to separate the helmet from the liner then why do they have the liner sitting directly against the helmet shell? It's not going to protect better than a regular pad unless there is a physical air gap between the pad and the shell, which there isn't.

You're looking at it wrong...it's not to separate the helmet from the liner. It's so that the helmet stays in place on the head when there's rotational force.

But if there was an air gap in the helmet, wouldn't that be the same as having an improperly fitted helmet with gaps between the foams and your skull? The force of impact would have the skull absorbing the energy and not the helmet.

Hey, this isn't so much of a sighting as a question.... I watch ebay quite frequently for interesting pro stock gear, and have noticed some new reebok branding on pro stock gear. Here's a picture

I've had 9 of those blades at one point, it is the old wordmark even before the "RBK". Some people are advertising that exact blade as the 11k which is clearly not true.

Rotation...

Top of the helmet attachment would enable it to absorb rotational forces... but only along the vertical plane. By keeping the top unattached, rotational forces along the horizontal plane (think helmet sliding back off your forehead or down over your eyebrows) can be absorbed too.

^^Maybe it was ripped off near the boards but it looks too perfect of a tear to be just that. Oversight....pretty big deal for QC issues when its your crest.
