High end skate weights

Recommended Posts

Just curious of the current weights of models among the big brands..

Easton S17, Reebok 11K, Easton EQ 50, Total One, APX, CCM U+ CL

Any weight gurus out there?

This info isn't for a purchase, I'm just really curious.

Also, what is the weight difference between the Total One, and One 100?

All input is much appreciated.

Anyone know why the Bauer Supreme One 100 weighs 136g more than the Total One??

I thought they were pretty much the same boot other than the fusion steel.

JS, do you know the weights of the old S15 and S11 Easton's?

I don't.

Like I said I got the info from IW's product descriptions.

I don't know how they are measured, but my Graf 735 weighs 2.2 pounds which is 997 grams. That's a size 8D, so the 9 might be even heavier.

one100 vs TO : the difference is about 50g per skate, due to lighter tongue/lighter runner/basic inner liner (fabric) on the TO.

It results in a one100 stiffer and probably more durable from what I saw.

Hockeyusdotcom is more accurate when it comes to weight hockey gears.

This^

Gonna echo what others have said about the Supreme skates, the felt tongue (52oz iirc) is a contributor.

Easton advertised the S15 as the lightest skate ever made due to the carbon/Texalium construction and too date, I don't think anything rivals it...but then again they traded weight for durability which is why the S17 is heavier but more durable.

I think TotalHockey has weights as well.

In the whole scheme of things, i doubt you'll be able to notice the 50g difference.

You notice it when switching from lighter vs heavier...as opposed to the other way around. The switch from fusion to step steel was very noticeable to me, but then again I notice everything.

I doubt most people would notice. If they say they do it is probably just the placebo effect. 50g is equal to 1/9 of one pound.
