Is there such thing as a Alex Semin LH clone or pro stocks out there that are somewhat close?

I'm sure I don't have to tell you how completely wrong that line of thinking is, curves are all about personal preference/individual shot mechanics. However, if your heart is set on lefty Semin-like curves, I believe Cammalleri's curve is pretty similar too? He uses a pretty low flex too.

The cammalleri is very similar to a sakic. Maybe a little bigger. I think he was kidding about the "shoot like semin" thing but i could be wrong.

Isn't the Semin pretty similar to a deeper Sakic as well? Both the Cammalleri pro and the Semin seem to me like a sort of retail-Sakic/retail-Coffey love child. From the pattern db and another MSH thread:

As I mentioned, Cammalleri uses a much softer flex than Semin, but that can be nice for a lot of us mere mortals who have trouble flexing 110ish flex sticks.

The Cammalleri ones I have are 80 flex and that link to the curve was his curve at the start of the season. He changed it, less heel bigger toe now.

Would Semin's stick actually play at about 100 flex the way he has it set up? He adds a shaved down wooden plug that looks to be about 4" in length.

I wonder what the lie is on there, especially how long he keeps his sticks

if you can find one of semins pro stocks, buy it. then get some tapered blades or t90s made by sherwood they can clone it lefty for you. i did the exact same thing except with evgeni malkins curve. they flipped it to righty for free and i absolutely love it. if nessacery you can sell the righty semin after it is returned with your order. they dont hack it up or anything! $477 for three sticks and the process took a little over a month. did it through PSHG.

you dont even need the whole thing, just the blade. if youre lucky you might be able to find someone who would let you borrow thiers for a month.

Just take a Sakic wood blade and bend the crap out of it after heating it up, that's all his curve is.

The Lie on Semin's sticks is a 5. He cuts about an inch or two off and then puts his plug in the stick. I have used his sticks for a couple years now. I love it. The flex takes a little getting used to and if I could get it in a lower flex I'd love it even more.

So if you shoot a more traditional wrist shot you want a stiffer flex ala Semin vs. 'New' snap shot ala ovechkin you would want a whippier stick?

Having both and Ovi and Semin. I prefer the Ovi. I can't take snappers with any real force with the semin because I am not strong enough to make a 112 before I cut another 4-6 inches off flex properly. But I can load into a slapper or wrist shot no problem. The Ovi One95 I have I can do all of those shots. But I've never had a great snapper.

I'm not that desperate. Especially since I'm LH and just want to make clones and not to mention it looks like he still uses a one85 if my reading of the flex chart bauer codes are correct.
