It became brutally clear that the refs had an agenda late in the game. They made BS calls late when there were other chances to make calls that weren't earlier in the game. How awesomely marketable would the game have been if it went to OT and/or shootout.

As a purist hockey fan, Im disgusted. Stop trying to sell our game to fans that cant wait to switch the channel to college football anyway.

Three Rivers was torn down after Heinz Field was built, and PNC Park in PIT was just too small. That's why it was at Heinz Field, and despite all that, they had issues with icemaking because there was a Steelers game and had to start later than expected.

I'm not an idiot. I know it's been hosted at Michigan Stadium. But downtown Detroit is a better story than Ann Arbor.

i do agree that comerica would be better. the sight lines are way better. it would be a boost for the business down there.

I guess if Ryan Callahan ever gets hooked, tripped, or interfered with, he will also forever be getting a minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. When was it that Crosby slew-footed Callahan and Callahan got the penalty?

The NHL did a great job for the whole weekend at CBP. Great atmosphere all around. I'm so happy I got to experience the Alumni and Winter Classic Game. Sucks real bad that we lost though.

A couple of guys from work were at the game with VIP seating. Brad Richards' family sat in the row in front of them. My friends said the only bad part of the whole experience was the behavior of the Flyers fans in the parking lot before and after the game. One guy almost got into a fight on the way in. On the way out, they helped out 3 Rangers fans that were getting rumbled by 15 Flyers fans. Fighting in the parking lot between fans at any sporting event is disgusting.

Flyers Rangers games most always have a few fights break out. My friend went to a game 2 3 years ago at the end of the season and counted 3 or 4 fights where secutity had to come and pull people off each other in the Garden.

Guy in the Giroux jersey who cold cocked the guy in the Callahan jersey probably has an IQ the same as his jersey number. Hes the one that started swinging first. You can tell thats all he pretty much wanted to do all day I bet.

I once got in a fight with a guy in a Philly bar because he had a problem with me wearing a red wing shirt. When I told him I was from Jersey, he was somehow confused that I might actually like a team from Michigan. I didnt wait to swing when I told him I was actually a Ranger fan though.

So the last two big NHL showcase events ended in a massive city riot and a public beatdown of opposing fans. Awesome, way to showcase the sport and make hockey fans look like drunken soccer hooligans.
