reading jock thread thinking...do you wear your cup against your skin or in the pocket

Reading the recent 8k reebok jock thread got me thinking... does anyone else just tuck their cup (and contents) into their compression shorts? meaning against your skin not in the pockets provided by your shorts. I have the worst time trying to wear a jock(any for that matter) in their pockets provided. I see other players wearing theirs over boxers, shorts, etc. and cannot understand how they do it. I have tried, but getting my stuff caught between the cup edge and my pelvic bone does not feel good.

Found that wearing it against my skin works best.

Anyone else?

8k jock works well either way but I noticed wearing it under the compression shorts is less comfortable for me.

I wear my 8K and nothing else, it feels great. Having boxers under it is just uncomfortable.

Yeah, I never wear anything under the jock. just doesn't feel right. Also, can never really get a good fit of the cup while tucked into the pocket they give you. I feel like it would move around too much if it wasn't in there though. I usually don't even notice it during games , so it's whatever.

I wear UA and Nike compression boxer briefs, cup/jock over that, and then compression legging over that. I can't stand the feeling of a cup pressed right up against everything. I don't know why, I just can't. But, it's the same with everything else: thin socks, leggings, long sleeved under shirt. Pads against my bare skin gives me the heebie jeebies.

Reebok 10K outside my SD compression shorts works fine for me. That's one of the advantages of a jock that's a reasonable size -- it gives good coverage. Those cups that come with the compression shorts just don't seem wide enough, which may be why some folks feel forced to consider wearing them inside the shorts, so they can tuck everything inside them.

Bauer mesh jock over wicking boxers. That way the boxers take the bulk of the sweat, letting me go a few games w/o washing the jock (or at least until it gets too rank...). Good airflow too, I'm not a compression shorts fan.

I started off using Bauer jock shorts, but found the cup moved around too much because my socks would pull down the shorts ever so slightly (the muffintop pushing down doesnt help me there).

Switched to compression shorts + "traditional" jock w/ shock doctor cup + garters.. hated the garters.

So now its Bauer jock shorts w/ traditional jock w/ shock doctor cup. Yea, its kinda silly (I've even been asked... "you know the cup goes in the shorts, right?") but its comfortable.

Maybe once I lose weight and jock compression shorts fit me a little better I'll go back to that.

Did you cut the jock out of the Bauer shorts? That seems like it would be really uncomfortable with two sets of 'straps'!

I honestly don't even notice. I'd go to just normal compression shorts if I didnt really like the bauer sock velcro. (especially the fact that its got velcro on both the front and back)

Mcdavid compression briefs, a&r jock, Reebok speedwick loose pants, garter over that. Most comfortable set up I've ever had.
