mack 44 Report post Posted November 24, 2004 Wow, those sound the AK prices but at least I wouldn't have to pay any shipping or taxes on that.
Modo9 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2004 Epuck.com is the bomb. There prices beat the heck out of hockeymonkey. Kevin the sales manager is awesome, as is Charles and Damon. They always get your stuff out that day, if ordered early enough. And you get a little Southern spice in every package! THe Epuck.com site is also awesome. You can post reviews and they have a pattern selector. They also give you a lot of info on the product and they never give you a problem about taking stuff back. Epuck.com is off the heesy-fasheesy! thunderbirds_are_go 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2004 Hockeygeeks do offer to price match if you find the same goods cheaper elsewhere. I've had friends deal with them though, and they all said that they received excellent service. The best online store I've personally used would have to be Epuck. Fantastic service, and quick delivery to New Zealand. 1800faceoff were pretty good back when I order my very first pair of inline hockey skates, but I haven't used them in a long time. The best stores I've been to in person were probably Hockeygiant in Anahiem, and The Hockey Shop in Vancouver - though that's heavily influenced by the fact that they were both very quite when I was there, and the staff didn't mind showing me (a poor tourist) pretty much everything. beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2004 Hockeygeeks do offer to price match if you find the same goods cheaper elsewhere. Yes, they price match, but their price matching policy is a scam. They hike up their prices to some ridiculous amount and then make you hassle them for a reasonable price. Not a good way to win over customers if you ask me. It's not like they make the policy easy to find or read either, which probably results in some less knowledgeable customers being screwed out of X dollars. WINGS 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2004 I've only been to two hockey stores, my local one (McArthur's SFS), which is pretty good for my area, and London SFS. That store is great.
Modo9 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2004 Nobody beats epuck: Stealths for $179.00. And although I hate the Stealth it's just to show they usually have the best price.

Man, I miss have a quality LHS down here in South Florida. www.greatskate.comI don't really order from them anymore though, I usually just order from whoever has the best prices, but Great Skate is still my favorite. Jim A 4 Report post Posted November 25, 2004 the odd thing is that when it was just sourcelondon.com they had great deals each week on pro return stuff, etc..sales and the like..also a couple years ago..there was a place in Manitoba..royalsports i think..that had great prices..although their stuff used to get held up by UPS @ their Kentucky office..where I had to have a long conversation with the lady there that "hockey Pants" were not something you would just wear around..as they wanted to charge me some sort of duty on them!!..
