Fun interview with Mo, but I was surprised to hear that he has all his teeth. The only other player I ever heard claim that he never lost one was Mickey Redmond. Curious for a guy who never wore facial protection, although he does say he was religious about his mouthguard.

I'm surprised he never took a deflection or stick and lost a tooth as well. Then again, he's pretty tall, and shot-blocking/screening/grinding/fighting weren't big parts of his game.

True, but 20 years of driving the net, its surprising one errant stick/puck/elbow didn't do him in.

Mouthguguard alone won't necessarily save your teeth. Guy I play with lost 2 with a mouth guard in. It was a shorthanded dump wrister that caught him right in the face, lost o e of the upper front and the one next to it.
