custom sticks

I am going to be ordering 12 sticks. In my research I was only able to see that Reebok and ccm are the only companies that offer construction options other than their retail offerings. Is this actually the case or do bauer and easton offer that as well. I am waiting am a spec sheet fromy rep but was also curious if anyone had a digital version? I was hoping they bauer might has something similar to the new Excel sheet for custom skates with drop down menus for the various options. thanks.

Unless your a pro Bauer will be pretty much impossible to pull off. Ive tried countless shops with a minimum of 12 all over the country and they all say that the rep said they cant do it for amateur players. Eastons are pretty easy to pull off but if you go through a store you cant really change construction. CCM/Reebok customs that you order through the store is the same as what the pros get. Also easy to pull off but I have not had great experiences with their durability. Thats my 2 cents. What are you trying to get custom on your sticks?

Looking to get the 12k weave on the bauers. Similar to the ultralite construction from ccm. The people I have spoken with havnt given me any indication that there would be issues so I guess I will have to wait and see. I have also been a bauer custom skate user for almost ten years with the same rep so that may help grease the wheels, who knows...

I would also like to get the yzerman pro pattern (closed toe drury with a lower lie)

Jr here is my situation. I have order a large amount of sticks due to the new booking order policy regarding curves outside of the big 3. Because of that i figured i would go ahead and get some made up. I was pretty set on either the nexus or apx with grip options etc all of which are available on my bauer. I was hoping to order them through my khaki with whom I have an agreement on upcharge after cost for the order. Is this possible?

12k as in g3, but I am well aware that that's basically an impossibility. I have just had a few and really liked them. I will get the nexus, I'm sure the construction. Will be fine.

G3 may be possible as it isnt really as custom as people think. Nexus is probably a better bet anyway though. That being if you can get the sticks at all.

Gotcha thanks JR. my final question then is in your experience have you ever known bauer to sell mybauer sticks at a lower than advertised price based upon the quantity of the order?

Not that I've seen. I've never seen anyone buy that many sticks through myBauer. Would be a question for your LHS - I don't work in retail anymore.

I actually just recently came across a place that could. I will be placing my order this week as I now have the pattern code for a kreps in an APX.

Any idea on why the shop you found will/can place the order? Can you pm me the store info? Did you have to gi through a rep to get the pattern code?

The problem with trying to get a manufacturer to take the time and deal with the hassle of making custm sticks for an amatuer player is that their idea of a large quanity and the average consumer aren't the same.... I'm not saying you can or can't get it done but I know an order of 24-48 sticks like a usual pro order, is more likely to have a chance of getting done than an order of 12... Just not worth the headache for the company and I don't blame them

Bauer will make you one custom stick of you want. The issue isn't whether I can or can't get them but whether or not my bauer is the only avenue for an order to be placed.

If you are really able to get a custom Bauer order, you should get a one95 blade on it with one of the new shafts. Seen that on some pro stocks at my LHS (G3 and TO shafts w/ one95 blades). That would be the only benefit I could see going custom through a rep rather than through myBauer. Those one95 blades were a thing of beauty...

There is no way that will happen. Again going through a rep is really only to get better pricing than full retail through the website.

JR. The deal was that I couldnt get the Kreps on an APX because the codes I had were for a G3. I recently found the codes for Kreps off of a Karlsson prostock APX so now I am able to get exactly what I want. I found a store that could a month ago but I just didnt have the info I needed until yesterday.

Not spending anywhere near $2400. I have extensive use with all of the options I have mentioned. I already have a nexus 1000 coming in for the June 15th release so I can use it before ordering.
