Hckyguy77 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 so i went to my local hockey shop and tried on both versions of the supremes and the vapors.....now in vapor i got to try on a 7.5 r which was not wide enough and then i got to try on the bauer supreme.6s i beleive maybe they were 7s. either way they felt great. i have no access to anything higher in those types such as the actual nxgs and the apx themselves. only issue with the bauer was i feel like my big toe is cutting close to the front right side. my big toe kinda sticks out between the toenail and maine part of my foot if that makes sence. i didnt have any chances for an EE as they didnt even have any of them but i feel that jump might be to big. um this is a big jump up from my easton skates which now that i am fitting feet i notice they are not the right size and i have way to much room which could really be affecting my play on the ice. is there gunna be a way to get these stretched if the toe becomes an issue. once i hit my heal into place the foot did not hit the side im just curious if when skating it will and cause blistering.....just need some ideas and help dont wanna spend $800 on something that wont work. i liked the apx but i will say i have no way of trying on a size D width so i dont really want to just risk it and hope it works.....i got a high arch dont kknow if that matters
JSK81 400 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 If you're gonna spend $800 on skates, do yourself and the humanity a huge favor and get them fitted at a hockey shop. It's really a dick move to try skates at your local shop and then order them online.
Hckyguy77 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 ya cuz its not like i already asked them to get the skates themselves.....so whats your opinion just get what they have regardless if they fit just because they want the money.....its play it again sports......not some local guy working his ass off to make a living.....so go troll somewhere else

Krev 86 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 You're asking for our help then say we're trolling when we give you legitimate advice? If you have another shop within 2 hours, go there and get fitted. You can't get fitted properly online. In almost every case you cannot punch out hot spots in the toecap. To me, based on the somewhat disconnected and thrown together description you gave us, you have no idea what type of foot you actually have. So do yourself a favor and find another shop with more selection that can fit you properly. If you don't have another shop in your area, then never mind this whole spiel, as you're gonna do what you're gonna do. Then after a few days of that and having giddily and successfully completed his purchase, he will truely know what trolling means.
Hckyguy77 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 JSK81 i have one last attempt to see if he can do anything different than the other bauer rep. it is smaller so i hope they can order what i need. as for icewalker you crack me up with your ability to judge so quickly on age. and krev i am attempting to get the best fit skate for the money im putting out which means that i will go where needed if i know i can get a good skate. which online without trying on older models is not possible. so if there is a way i can still order online and then still go buy sticks, equipment, sharppenings etc. then im still helping the local shops
danno25nh 3 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 I'm not sure I understand how you'll be playing NCAA hockey (that's what you stated in an earlier post) yet there are no hockey shops near by.You state that you'll be playing division 2 hockey. This means you must be playing in New England or New York at one of only 6 schools. All of these schools are relatively close to a store which might fit you.Wouldn't you school help you get properly equipped? Even in high school in New England our coaches helped ensure we purchased appropriate gear.

wrangler 157 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 I didn't see the mention of NCAA hockey. To the OP: you can get better answers if you take the time and trouble to put together clear, coherent sentences and paragraphs. I see that some of us just don't understand all that you're trying to say.

t6lock 24 Report post Posted August 22, 2012 i didn't know puncuation was a sign of how old u were. just "cuz" someone abbreviates i'm not sure how u can assume they are some sort of child. pressing shift once in a while does not make u a grown up all of a suddenand i have definitely tried something on in store and bought online. trying to get the best bang for the buckgenuine good luck hckyguy77 on finding a nice pair of skates for u
RussianDangler15 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2012 No but it is much more likely you will be taken seriously if you take the time to try to use proper grammer and complete sentences. I had to read the op twice just to attempt to make sense of what he was asking.
