Best Bauer Gloves

Recommended Posts

Ive heard quite a lot of the Bauer 4 rolls...are these still the best and most comfortable gloves that Bauer has out?

Also, does anyone know if they will be releasing a Nexus line of gloves in the future?

I can't tell which are the "best", since that's 100% a preference thing. So instead it may be helpful to point you at this graphic:

Personally, I like the tighter glove, so I go with supreme. I can't stand the 4-roll.

Hopefully you can deduce which is the "best" for you based on how you like your gloves to fit.

Im currently testing out the x60pros and quite like them but honestly my vapor xxx pro models are my favourite gloves, ive patched them more times than enough but love the fit, the thumb flex, honestly the best gloves ive used

Hated the 4-Rolls when I started using them (bought them on a whim), now they're the only glove I use at the moment.

Although, I do think I'd go Supreme next time.

That's a heck of a jump... opposite ends of the spectrum.

Yup. I like the tighter gloves, generally.

But I'm scoring with the 4-Rolls at the moment, so, yeah, that explains that.

So the Supreme is much tighter than the Vapors? I'm still using my Vapor XXs but there getting really worn out. Ive tried on the APX and X60s both feel great. On a side note does anyone know if Bauer lets customers customize gloves or is that mainly Warrior?

Might just be me, but I find the current Vapor line to be tighter fitting than the Vapor line from the "Bauer to Nike/Bauer branded stage" (I'm aware they owned them before that period). I find the current Vapor line to be in the line with the early Vapor line gloves (Vapor 9 stage). The fit then went a little looser in the XX/XXX stages.

Just my experiences of owning Vapor 9's, Vapor XX's and having tried the X60's.

I can't speak for the older Vapor models (nor the APX) but yea the supremes are definitely a lot tighter than the Vapors. I can tolerate the Vapors, but can't stand the 4-rolls. I prefer the Supremes but cant find any old One95 Maine colorway gloves, so I moved to Warrior Projekt, which are similar in tightness to the supreme.

Not to go too off topic, but are you used to the tight wrist on the new Projekts now? I still love my old 2010 Projekts, but am on the fence about the new ones based on trying them on - the wrist felt too tight, but I'm wondering if you get used to that over time.

Now, back on topic. I find the current Supreme gloves have quite short fingers so while I use a 14" in the old One90s (which I think are the best glove Bauer ever made), I'd have to use 15" gloves in the newer models as the fingers on the 14" Supremes are too short for me. The 14" Vapor APX gloves have fingers that are long enough and have a nice tapered fit.

I had stopped using them for a while. Went back to mostly switching between my Supremes and my Vapors. The last two games I was using the Projekts again, and they're still as annoying as ever. Here are some pics so you know what I mean.

Originally I had thought it was the big white cuff that was the issue. After playing some more games in them, I've realized its actually the two blue flaps that make up the rest of the cuff:

Here you can see how the one flap interferes with the elbow pad:

And heres the other flap:

If these two flaps were actually LONGER, or the cuff was wider, they would fit over the elbow pad and not be an issue.

I may see if I can have the cuff modified.
