Best time of year for online sales?

Hi all,

Apologies if this is posted somewhere, I searched a few different strings but couldn't find any info. I've only bought gear online a couple of times, and was wondering for those who do so regularly, when are the best sales usually on? Black Friday had some great deals on, and just wondering if I should pull the trigger on a few items now or wait until it's closer to X-Mas or the new year.

Most manufacturers prohibit discounting on current model products online. The discounts happen after the product is discontinued.

Yea, for the most part the best "sale" you will find is an offer for free shipping.

Round about now is pretty good, new lines coming out and old stock heavily discounted, eg good deals to be had on Mission axiom skates and Warrior sticks, on top of this you can get an extra 20% off coupon which makes some gear a very good buy.

I've just purchased t9's, G5's, and lots of Widow / Diablo sticks in a Vanek curve (before it goes out of existence). Price average 30% - 40% of normal retail.

In general retail, the period after Xmas, prior to New Year's Eve is the worst time to find deals. Most items return to full price, as people tend to spend holiday gift cards during that time.

I tend to order stuff that is already discounted. I jumped on their 25% for black friday and ordered Graf G5's, a red TotalOne stick, and Eagle x95 gloves. The discount worked for all that stuff, making for some insane prices. A $120 TotalOne is friggin awesome.

I know with pro hockey life they tend to have online sales right around april, usually around the same time manufacturers release their new product.... they have to move dead stock

Google coupon codes for each shop and one or two will come up. Also get on the emailing list for each shop they send out deals everyday.
