Kronwall a size 6?

Pretty sure Chris Pronger is a size 7 in his RBKs, too -- and he's a giant. I guess he likes a real tight fit?

That's why he's always soo mad on the ice.

No, they just fit him.

When people used to say Paul Coffey wore skates two sizes too small, they meant from his shoe size, which, honestly, really has no bearing on skate size.

People wear their shoes comfortably, which means there's room in the toe. Obviously, for skates, you don't want that. So, whenever people came to me to get fitted and said "I wear a size 12 shoe, why are you putting me in a size 8 skate?" I'd just crouch down and pushed the front of their shoes in.

I've said it numerous times; millimeters don't lie. I know I'm at the back end of a 288mm holder in a Bauer skate (they made that switch once they introduced the longer steel), and the front of a 296mm holder in every other brand.

Somewhat off topic, but I read an article that stated that athletes in the paraplegic olympics would bind there feet and tuck their testicles under their legs. Even though they do not feel the pain, the body still reacts to it raising blood pressure and adrenaline which makes them super edgy! I wonder if it has a similar effect with super tight skates.
