Any way to order custom sticks from CCM?

Recommended Posts

I know some companies (i.e. Bauer) sell custom stick setups. Does anyone know if CCM does?

Currently use a Tacks pro stock stick that has a non-grip shaft, which I immensely prefer over the typical Tacks grip texture. It's a great stick, but I would like to go up a couple of points in flex, but nothing I find on the general market sells a Tacks stick w/o the grip (except the occasional pro-stock).

Is it possible to custom order sticks through CCM? If so, is there a minimum count required?

Sorry. Accidentally posted twice. Admin...please feel free to delete duplicate post.

What texture does the pro stock shaft have? I've heard of people using clear coat to just cover grip. I'm thinking about trying it, but I'm wondering if it leaves a sort of cushioned feeling from the encapsulated grip. I miss the days of classic clear coat shafts. They had just enough grip.

Your local hockey shop should be able to take care of you so long as they are an authorized CCM dealer. I believe a 6 pack is required however it still may be 12. They'd be able to walk you through the whole process.

With Bauer it's 6, as with CCM, at least for us poor Europeans. If you are located in NA, gö with myBauer sticks. Those should do the trick.

In Canada it's:

Bauer: min 12

Reebok-CCM: min 12

Sher-Wood: min 6 (full custom) or min 3 (custom name/# only, existing Sher-Wood retail pattern/flex)

Easton: not sure

Warrior: not sure

That's as of a couple of years ago, not sure if it has changed since then.

Again I only know how it is in switzerland, but I pay the same 350 bucks for a stock or full custom stick and would pay equally if myBauer sticks were available over here. The only thing you really pay for in addition is the mold for a custom blade which is fairly expensive.

CCM offers a team option which is essentially a pro stock option with a couple more curve options and a blank name bar and can be ordered by 6, in most cases this is all people need when they think "custom" unless they want a mold made in which case your options are extremely limited and extremely pricey.

I really miss TPS. They did pretty much the same thing and had great pro stock patterns.

Interesting, didn't know they had such a program.
