Graf Swiss and Graf Canada

I'm going to Switzerland, or my Mom will be in about 2 months or so. I was wondering if anyone had the chance to try out both companies Skates. Just Wondering if the Canadian 735's fit the same as the Swiss 735's? From what I have heard about the Can. versions, they don't seem to be too well represented in terms of quality and craftsmanship. I figure that if I'm going to go there, might as well duke it out in my Current XX's (which have gone to hell and are wayyyy too soft) and wait until I get there to get the Swiss 735's. Thanks guys.

Be prepared to pay through the nose for the Swiss ones...

While there, check out the Busch OPS - should be widely available around that area. I think there's a much wider variety available there (titanium, balance, "gold", laser, silver, shafts, etc).

Does anyone know if at one point the Canadian company was selling Swiss made Grafs, and then switched to making them in Canada, or has Graf Canada only ever sold their own "home made" versions?

Nope, when they set up shop they were all made in Canada.

I have searched a handfull of times, how do you go about customizing graf skates. I live here in Calgary and have been inside the factory, but I am still not sure about how to customize them.

You have to go through a Graf dealer.

Unless you don`t get the skates from the club you will pay enough for the Graf skates here in Switzerland... really expensive stuff ! But there are some fancy custom Grafs around, which you can`t get in the states, for example a Great "Golden" 709. They sure look nice !

Nevermind guys, I just bought new skates yesterday :D . Great White 735's, Wide, changed the T-blades for Lightspeeds. :D

I got back from Switzerland just now. I was in every city on the east side of country other then Davos (spengler cup was sold out ), and I was also in Bern. I went into all the sports shops I could find and never saw any Grafs at all, one store carried the lowest end euro grafs, and that was it.

Those are sweet. I think in the summer or spring I might order some 735 reverse great whites.
