Nike Quest Zero-G opinions

Recommended Posts

It wouldn't surprise me if Naslund's using leftover Vics with the Nike paint job. If not, they're just standard woods I think, but people on this board have them and can clarify if they're standard woods or not.

it's definately not a standard wood. It's 100% Quality wood. It has an almost Intermediate Radius shaft with carbon hosel. Perfectly balanced 300L flex. I don't know how light the Zero-G is but this stick is just a tad bit heavier than my Vector 100 shaft with a Nike Quest Apollo blade in it.

I'm sure it's not like a woodie anyone could pick up, I mean if you look at the blades they're the same as the ones back from his Vic/Sher-Wood days.

They only had righties, they were senior don't know what flex. Vaughan Mills has a site: www.vaughanmills.com but there's not much on the Nike Factory Store. Here's the number 905-738-1054

I called them yesterday and ordered a Zero-G and Quest 1 for $40 and $25 for shipping.

For those wondering, the Quest 1 is a Brindamour PH2 Lefty in 220 and Zero Gs are Lemieux 220 Right.

sorry, whats the difference between the q1 and zg? this is getting a bit confusing b/c i thought zerog and the q1 where both nazzy's sticks and supposedly the same...

to make a point clear - Nazzy has never used a Zero-G so i'll break it down

Blade: Ash blade laminated with Carbon hosel

Shaft: Intermediate radius shaft with Aspen Core that is not Vented Aspen Core which the Zero G uses and the Nazzy is 300L.

All of his sticks are the same with just different paint jobs. They've all had carbon and are really light.

Zero G - Vented Aspen Core, Graphite and Fiberglass (I think) and Double Concave feel.

Quest 1 - Aspen Core, Graphite and Fiberglass with Ergo Feel. (If you liked this stick, go buy the Flexlite 12 as it is almost identical but the blade looks like it has more wrapping and it doesn't have wheelbarrow handle or Trigger Grip)

Basically the Vented Aspen Core is what makes the difference in weight. The Zero G is also hollow inside.

Right now Naslund's stick is what I describe above but with a Nike Quest V-12 paintjob.

If your looking for a light wood stick try the Bauer 5000. It has a vented core also, it's quite light. I like them alot, too bad Bauer the P106 curve is next to impossible to find. I need to order more custom Sher-Woods. Lightest woodys EVER.

the 5000s are like next to impossible to find.. I wish i could find some

Are the SOPs durable? Is it worth shelling out $40CAD(?) per stick? I'm thinking about doing it sometime in the future
