tom ehrhardt49 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 has anyone seen the vector 130, is like the old vector with that thin graphite blade or is it like the conventional "synergy" graphite, if you will--regarding the blade
Chadd 916 Report post Posted January 20, 2005 According to CCM it has a foam core blade.
jimmy 194 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 It is definately foam core. I've already had two returned for breakage. IMHO. it is not a durable stick. One customer took off this tape and the carbon peeled off with it! I've heard they've "fixed" that problem.....just like Bauer did when they first introduced the XX and the blades separating.I'm not a proponent of foam cores, on any stick.. If you want light, expect the things to break fast. If you want durability do not go with a foam core.
illpaseo116 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2005 i have a ccm v120. Vector blade broke after a few skates, so i replaced it w/ another vector blade. first game, broken. It just gave under normal play too, it wasn't one of those get it caught in the boards breaks. I was NEVER hard on sticks/blades either. I usually get many months playing 3-4 times a week from my blades. I switched to easton blades, i'll never waste $60 on a ccm blade again
thejackal 46 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 I find CCM blades to be really durable. Same with THC hybrid blades, i've never broken one yet. The things is they go soft eventually, not good for shots anymore.
SR27 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 Now this really sucks....I loved my v110 and the V120 I recently got looks solid as well...have only paraticed with it one time....I was so much looking forward to the V130 but why do they have to make it one of those foam filled things?! I hate foam!

bvapor2004 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 on my inno when i took my tape off my carbom peeled off, i didn't know that that was a defect :(
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 the blade is also about an inch thick...Nowhere near worth the 199.99 pricetag.
WINGS 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 CCM is actually redesigning the 130 blade because they've had so many problems with the graphite peeling off.

ambro 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 on my inno when i took my tape off my carbom peeled off, i didn't know that that was a defect :( It probably was the clear coat that peeled off your Inno, not the carbon. That has happened to mine as well, and it isn't a defect. If the carbon did actually peel off, then it probably is a defect, but I doubt it happened.
tokes 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2005 A buddy of mine got a V130 and it hasn't failed in a week yet :PI like the way it feels, not quite as nice as an XN10/Stealth, but it's up there.
notorious#29 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2005 Inno makes the most solid blades ever, and yeah Inno blades(at least mine)have foam in them
Fedorov91 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2005 From what I could tell in the store, the V130 has a nice feel to it but the blade looks pretty thick for a graphite blade. Def. thicker than a Synergy or Vector 110 blade. The Blue V110 blade I had was really durable but I didn't really care for the feel. Inno and Easton blades both have a foam core but from my experiences it seems like the foam in the inno blades is a lot "harder" and more durable than the Easton blades which seem "softer" and less durable. For example if you've ever broken a Z-Carbon/Synergy blade and take a piece of the foam you can easily cut it with your fingernail or crush it easily. With the hard foam in the Inno blades, you can't cut it or break it so easily, it seems more solid. That's just my observation, correct me if I'm wrong.
