Hand tool to remove skate steel?

Could someone please tell me, or send me a Home Depot/Lowes link, of the exact hand tool these NHL equipment managers are using to pull the steel out of the holder?  I'd like to purchase one for myself.  Thank you in advance, appreciated!

Be careful when using those on coated steel, it will damage the coating.

Does that tool offer something that the tool the comes with edge holders doesn’t? For the non-pro equipment manager, what’s the advantage here?

In my experience, last night, this would've been super helpful since trying to pull the steel out of my skate between shifts, while it was wet and cold, was not an easy task.  No matter how much I wiped the steel trying to dry it, it was still slippery (also bending your foot up in awkward positions really doesn't help with your leverage... I managed to get them swapped but man that tool would've made the task wayyyy easier).

edit: I don't have Edge holders, I have XS, the Edge tool prob would've made my life easier if they worked on XS and I had one.

Thank you, I'm going to buy this, appreciated, but I will need to be aware if I'm pulling out coated steel, thank you for that heads up as well!

You could always coat the metal with plasti-dip or something to avoid metal on metal contact and protect the blades, or just put some electrical tape over the edges of the tool... anything to avoid metal on metal and you should be good.

I use these for my coated blades.  After you've cut yourself a few times with that bauer tool, it's a no brainer 🙂

These look great. How well are they built?

They actually feel quite solid.  They're a little smaller than standard pliers but are perfect to throw in the bag.  I was a little worried about the gripping power as the plastic looked a bit smooth but they never slip, even when the blade is a little stubborn.  Even come with a spare set of plastic.
