bthompson1286 9 Report post Posted Friday at 02:12 PM Hey everyone, I’m looking to get some opinions and real-world feedback on Bauer Aetrex, Bauer SpeedPlate, and Superfeet insoles. How has everyone’s experience been with these in terms of: Support (arch, heel lock, overall stability) Performance (stride power, edge control, energy transfer) Comfort and fit (break-in time, boot volume changes, hot spots, etc.) Durability and value over time If you’ve used one or more of these, I’d love to hear which worked best for you, what skates you’re using them in, and if you’d stick with them or switch next time. Thanks in advance — curious to hear everyone’s experiences!

Thanks in advance — curious to hear everyone’s experiences! I probably can't give you fully what you would like. But my son is 12 and the guy that fits his skates always recommended superfeet. Whenever I'd try to get him to try them he would say they weren't comfortable and want to get rid of them. This time around we did Bauer Aetrex Fit A insoles and he really loves them. Said they make his skates more comfortable than they've ever been. He skates a lot and never has issues with pain, even when he was on his new skates for the first time. Do them help his performance? No idea, but I'd imagine if he feels better in his skates his performance is better.
xstartxtodayx 343 Report post Posted 21 hours ago I've used Superfeet Carbon in the past and they were ok but I would get some arch pain from them sometimes and in my newest skates (Jetspeed FT4 Pro) they just didn't sit right and created some painful edges on the inside of the foot. I have since switched to Sole brand which are heat moldable and don't have such an aggressive arch, they're night and day from the Superfeet in terms of comfort and support for my feet, also they have a nice pocket for the heel but it doesn't elevate it how Superfeet tend to do slightly. I have tried Bauer speed plates in the past and within 5 minutes I had to take them out, way too hard and uncomfortable, really made my arches hurt too which was disappointing since it was the first heat moldable pair I tried and I had high hopes.
