Heatley signs with AK Bars

Recommended Posts

i heard kovalchuk isnt having too great of a year.....

Well, he's doing better then Lecavalier and Richards combined. Kovalchuk is not performing to his superstar status (but lets face it only Jagr is performing to his in the RSL), but he is an impact player. No doubt about that. When his line with Kovalev is on the ice you notice and pay attention. Most of the time when Lecavalier is on the ice you don't. I think really Kovalchuk has started very slowly - he was in "Havlat in Dynamo" mode - just shoot it from anywhere. Its an NHL habit. But now Kovy has understood that by doing that he simply gives the puck away and shows a bit of patience, vision and gets involeved in combination plays. This way he gets into great positions more often and we all know how he can finish on a scoring chance... Hes really coming into his own at the mo.

So, to sum it up: Kovalchuk has adapted to the VERY different style of russsian hockey (when compared to NHL); Lecavalier, Richards have not. Of course its harder for them, because they 've never played such brand of hockey before+culture, language.

I think Richards was out because of an injury.

Everyone hates wrestling now, but if you were a little guy in the 80's you had to watch it. HULKAMANIA!

Anyone else break a bed as a kid pretending to be Superfly Snuka?

my parents were friends with this fat kid's parents and always made us hang out as kids. I didn't like him, so he became my "try wrestling finishing moves" dummy

Why Heatley is now with the Russian Superleague and he was in Switzerland before. I know he got an injury, but have they(his old team) broken his contract after the injury.

He`s in Russia because he gets more money, that`s the reason. It was him who broke the contract with his swiss team. At least Bern made Kasan pay.

Bern now has Jean Pierre Dumont as a replacement. Martin Brodeur has shown interes to come to switzerland if the NHL and NHLPA can`t reach an agreement.

HAAAAAA! Guilty! ;)

Wrestling sucks now. As an adult (loosely used term here) I cant think of wasting much time watching it.

But man did I love JYD, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, British Bulldogs, The Rockers, Randy "Machoman" Savage, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, "Rowdy" Rody Piper etc. as a kid in the late 80's.
