Are those the final version or your test ones? I like the look of those much better than the L7's in the catalog.

me too...

I agree

Justin, why the less white on the final versions? Have anything to do with them maybe looking a little too "heliumish"?

I like the look of the final version. My curiosity has me wanting to try the Synergy Skate, even though I think they'll be way too stiff. Beyond that, I’m leaning toward the L7 because I won’t have to change holders on them.

Okay, I started the mud slinging, so I'm prepared to take it.

In my defense:

Good point on my misspelling of loser fire-ice man. My bad. If anything, custom fitted skates should not be loose!

On my loser comment, my point is custom skates are fine if you need or can afford them. Custom sized is one thing. Custom design is another. My beef is those who think flashy pimped out equipment makes up for lack of skill or conditioning.

Learn the game, get good at it, and get in shape. Then if you are good enough to be cocky, fine. I still don't have to like it but as I said earlier, if you go with flashy gear, you better have the skills to back it up.

On the other hand, if you suck, don't get pink tape, mirrored visors, loud jerseys, neon green holders, $200 sticks and the like. If you want that flashy crap, go play roller. If you suck, a $200 stick isn't going to help. Use that time, energy, and money to get ice time and practice.

And while I'm on my modest rant, get real hockey numbers! Defense wears low single digits. Forwards wear up to 29. Goalies get #1 and anything in the 30's. (If you're Gretzky or Mario you're exempt, per my rationale above.)

Damn kids nowadays!

(By the way, I'm having fun with this rant, take it as sincere comments, but not too seriously!! B) )

You are soooo right!

I love it when the "kids" join our beer league. They are so flashy, but as soon as you "harass" them, they loose their cool. I love those power play goals while they are sitting in the box. Brains win, every time. :-)

BTW, when we olders mispell, it's because we have consumed several adult beverages before writing out posts. At least we have an excuse. :-)

jtt, you obviously dont know much about hockey. if your going to say that "flashy" gear is just for roller hockey players, you havent seen the European leagues that are highly sponsered. they were stuff like this all the time and they are damn good hockey players. and when it comes to beer league, and younger players being in the box alot because you say stuff to them, its more like they dont let you check in beer league in fear or players like you who will get killed by the younger players that can PLAY

I am trying to decide whether to get 727s with LS or s500

Personally I'd go for the S500's. Anyways back onto the thread, my skates are all stock so I guess I shouldn't post them = P
