lasted two days

You got a defect or you're an idiot with sticks. Don't blame that on the design.

Feel better now that you've insulted another member?

Maybe we should start these polls with number of games and calibre rather than time? Mine lasted a month before I sold it (Member who bought it please PM me). I was on the ice 3 times with it, and used it for shooting only. Now that doesn't compare with a person who's skating 4 times a week at the AAA/ Junior level.

And I'd think its also important to compare it to other sticks that you've used. I know kids who are terrible players who for some reason or another, go through sticks like crazy. And then there good players who don't go through sticks at all.

Literally 20 minutes ago "5+ Months" had 0 votes and now it's got 5 votes... is Easton on here making fake accounts or something?

Mine's about a year and technically still alive, but that's because it's been relegated to back-up duty for some time.

I've just never been fond of the Easton OPS. It seems they're just made to break....

Which is why I chose the Vector 130 over the Stealth.

Heres the thing....

I got one of the first batch V130s.....

I played two games with it before I peeled the tape off of the blade. It pulled the laminate off. I then went to the CCM Forum, found out about the blade problems and BEFORE my blade got any worse, I sent it in for Warranty replacement.

CCM sent my a FREE Vector 120 while I wait for my V130 (which will be here in April). But otherwise, the stick (like all CCM sticks) are tanks.

A defect in the blade is nothing compared to a stealth breaking at the shaft. ESPECIALLY after they slap a "9" durability rating on it. Sucky thing is for Stealth owners, they're not getting a FREE $170 OPS + getting their Stealth back ;)

So you rip on one company yet you forgive another when the stick doesn't last two games? Sounds like more than a bit of a double standard.

Considering the fact I know you dislike CCM's sticks I'll say this....

A stick breaking halfway up the shaft is TOTALLY different then laminate peeling off of a blade. At least my V130 was still USABLE.

Fact of the matter is, I own FOUR CCM one piece sticks and NON of them have ever broken.

See, if you would've LISTENED (errr read) you'd notice that I sent the stick in before anything bad happened. The blade would've been fine if I didn't peel the tape off.

My preference is irrelevant. Obviously yours isn't.

Dude, please go look at the "Most Durable OPS" thread.

CCM Vector sticks beat out all other sticks mentioned by a good 30+ votes. What I'm saying is based on FACTS and not preference or opinion.

There is a difference between a minor manufacturing defect of laminating peeling off which CCM has addressed on all future batches of sticks and a fatal flaw that has existed in pretty much every Easton OPS causing them to break very easily at any given moment which has resulted in Easton having the reputation of making flimsy sticks with virtually no durability at all.

Gee maybe you have a hard time understanding what "COMPLAINING TO A COMPANY TO GET WHAT YOU WANT" is all about. Sometimes you need to BS a little to get somewhere with customer service.

;)

I STILL stand by the fact that CCM Vector sticks are EXTREMELY durable sticks. Much moreso then Easton sticks.

Ok, so fraud is ok when it suits you? what a load of shit.

By the way, I think CCM sticks are more durable than Easton as well.

Subjectively speaking, I'd rather use a stick that performed and lasted a month, (Stealth) as opposed to something that feels like poop but lasts forever. (Every CCM OPS I've used.) Performance vs. Durability...again and again and again.
