SL

Yea it is an int, the ones in Edmonton at United are like 239 or 249 so a little cheaper, not life threateningly but a little bit. I think that Jr's are like 200ish...not sure. Maybe Dangles can correct that for me he was at Chevy's this weekend.

Blade is good, I am not a huge gigantic stick breaking kinda guy, I only break shaft/blade combos for some reason, but the blade is hot, as in solid and very stiff. I would honestly liken the feel with this stick to a decent-mediocre wood stick.

Not a durable blade, less than average feel. Typical synergy to me.

I've used my SL in two games now and I have to say I like it much better than the Stealth--Much Better. The blade is stiffer and the balance of the SL is unbelievable. The SL reminds me very much of my first experience with an XN10. The stick is very blade light, again amazing balance, and the SL has phenomenal XN10-like pop on shots. I'm actually glad the SL is cheaper than the Stealth because I think it is all-around a much better stick. The feel on the SL could be a touch better. IMO Easton definitely got it right. I would easily rank the SL as one of the Top 3 sticks I've used.

The black of the stick with the black of the puck suposedly creates an optical illusion in the eyes of a goalie, but I bet if you ask any goalie, they'd tell you it doesnt do anything. Also if you do it and then tape your blade with white tape you defeat the purpose of "hiding the puck."

Also if you do it and then tape your blade with white tape you defeat the purpose of "hiding the puck."

i disagree with that because i spray paint the bottom of my sticks now, and my friend who is a goalie says that if you use white tape, it makes it look like there is 2 pucks after you shoot

Correct, it doesn't hide squat! Can see the puck just as easy as if on white tape, no difference. To me anyway. IMO, it's urban legend. :-)

I agree with modo on that, I decided to keep it after further use, the stick is absolutely phenominal. Puck explodes off the face, and the stick has an incredible feel for such a stiff blade. If you think the SL has no feel then you either A. Don't like composite sticks to begin with, or B. need to invest in a few more puckhandling camps. As far as OPS's go its the best thing available given you can get one in a suitable curve and flex.

My thoughts exactly. Best stick I have ever used, and that is one long list.

Log? How do you get that out of an Adrenaline?

The Adrenaline is a far superior stick in most categories. I've never used stick with a better feel, or one that has kept up in near brand new condition after over a month of play-offs. Even though its not the lightest stick you can't go bashing it for weight 435g (personally weighed).

The only things the SL has on the Adrenaline are looks and weight.

just thought id let u in on something

i have a modano and a forsberg SL. I never used the forsberg but the modano one chips like hell, but kids on my team with the forsberg have had slight chipping.

i have a feeling that the modano labeled ones are not paint finished, ie they had those ready before the SLs were shippe dcuz u wont see a modano SL in stores

yglod, I saw a Modano SL in stores the day that I bought mine. Found it weird since he was off of Easton's 'team.' On my SL, all the paint is off already after 5 ice times (off season now until spring hockey) but it doesn't matter to me..this stick is insane.

Getting ready to spraypaint it tomorrow, since I heard that painting your stick voids the warranty.
