HEX-1

Recommended Posts

I just have two quick questions.

#1- For anyone that has a Hex-1 or Hex-1 Grip, how's the durability so far?

#2- Does Mission still have a "Drury" type curve? I know they had the Carter. But I was told they don't have it anymore.

thanks

One of the guys that plays in the adult leagu at our rink met the guy who paints sticks for mission or something like that. He sent him a stick and it was a hex-2. It was a hex shaft and a hex blade. It was gold. Does anyone know anything about this.... it looked nice. I don't have anything from mission on it.

A lighter tapered shaft would be nice.

(Not to sound rude) But no one has answered my question as to, is there going to be a Drury type curve for the Hex-1/Hex-1 Grip?

Someone mentioned Ribeiro (sp?) and on greatskate.com the Ribeiro says "slightly open toe lie 5." Slightly open toe doesn't sound like a Drury to me. If they have the McCauley curve, I can work with that since I use Lidstrom and Drury...but Drury is preferred.

thanks again

Actually, they have. No. The Carter, Drury clone, is not offered. The closest is probably the Ribeiro or the Elias, both are fairly different. The Ribeiro is not really similar to another pattern. If you have your heart set on a Drury, look in another direction, if you don't look for something thats similar, which they have provided.

You asked "Does Mission still have a "Drury" type curve?" and it was answered. Yes, but not on the Hex-1.

I haven't seen the Ribiero yet but from the sound of it I would guess it is similar to the Inno Kariya pattern.

Not really.

Is the Ribiero curve similar to the TPS P13 curve?

I don't think it's as open as the P13.

Made by True Temper...

never liked their golf shafts. Was more of a Royal Precision Tour Flighted Rifle shaft guy myself. :D

I loved my tri-gold shafts but I'll settle for dynamic gold any time.

Justin - why the change from Aldila to TrueTemper?

Granted - TrueTemper has made great shafts in the past, namely the Christian DiamondLite and the SW Force.

The need for multiple vendors to keep up with our demand...And, TT was able to get the squarer shaft we wanted...

Kudos to Mission for keeping a squarer, traditional shape shaft.
