Ordered Synergy Skate what can I expect from them?

Recommended Posts

Just use the skates yourself and decide if they're ok or not. You should be able to tell. Asking after you buy is pretty dumb.

Yea well a really good deal came up on the synergy skates so I got them before I asked sorry.

Since you posted looking to buy them a week ago, that doesn't make much sense.

Yea well as you can see nothing came up on that post, I was going to actually buy them from 1800faceoff but I was going to do a little more "others opinion" based research, I know with skates one should buy what fits him/her the best, but I wanted to get some feedback just to see, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. And this morning I was on ebay and I found a pair for 250 "buy it now" so hell I got them...

The boot does. The arch doesn't.

The arch doesn't quite fit my foot either, but I've found a solution. Otherwise, I didn't find the S500s and Synergys to be even close to similarly cut, but oh well.

The eastons are a bit wider, not as deep, and taller than the mission skate. You might be able to fit a synergy ok if you fit in a pure boot.

I found the Synergy's to fit my feet very well and once I fixed the side ankle problem I was having there was no pain at all in my feet. However, I found that my heel didn't lock into place enough and it effected my skating.

That's the worst feeling. It happens all the time with my grafs if I don't tie them perfectly.

You can expect some wicked stiffness and lightness thats for sure. I still have a feeling that these composite skates won't last long. Think of the sticks, one nick and they have a weak point. I don't know about you guys but I don't like the idea of a skate cracking and breaking like a stick.

I highly doubt that will happen with the skate, you have to keep in mind that sticks that break are exposed to constant contact and slashing, plus the way a stick is constructed is different then the skates, I am more then sure the guys at Easton had that in mind. I think they've done tests on the skate where they took 90 mph shots at it and nothing happened. They should of called it the Easton Bricks.

What was the solution?

You said Synergy and air sbx. The sbx is a soft boot contruction. Which would mean not very stiff at all. Common sense really.
