I recieved my samsonov vapor xx today, it looks almost like a kovalchuk, its real flexy and is gripless. Im scared to actually use this stick.

Think about it - he is short - so it's gonna stiffen once he cuts it to his height.

I got it from another member here. It was an old, gold synergy grip. One of the most durable OPS I ever used.

The thing that surprises me the most is that it's gripless. Sammy usually likes subtle grip on his sticks.

He cuts at least 3 inches from the top of the stick, so it ends up being around a 95 flex.

And it's not unusual for him to have a big mid-heel curve. Similar to a slightly bigger, deeper Modano with more of an open face to it. I haven't seen his toe curve in a while (and even that wasn't a true toe).

pro stock vapor xx's are sick i got a v.orzagh it's like a tps xx-stiff flex with a retail kovalchuk curve ,no grip,painted black instead of the normal color
