its an imitation, but much less extreme....i felt it with my bare hands and i can't imagine a player noticing the grip during a game wearing sweaty, wet gloves

i think its just like ridges into the shaft itself, but its not like the sandpaper grip of polarfibre or soft grip that wears out. its pretty smooth, just the ridges offer a different texture....its like a lot of small scratches in the shaft but box shaped

That was my beef with it. I can barely feel it with gloves on and once the glove palms start getting sweaty, it's barely noticeable. Of course this may be favorable to players who prefer a minimal amount of grip. I prefer a bit more grip.

I've had a 5K since January/February-ish and it's still going strong. Very durable in my opinion, but switching back and forth from an SL...the 5K just feels like a 2x4.

no you couldnt. the 5k has a standard hosel. Looke at buying an innovative standard blade, theyre pretty short

5k is a standard shaft/blade combo. The RBK tapered is the 6k shaft/blade combo. The tapered/short hosel blade won't fit into the standard shaft.
