Agreed and its hard to acknowledge that the 90s can be a time to be nostalgic about! That was just yesterday. Or, you know, heading hard towards 25 years ago... I'm getting old.

I agree on the nostalgia factor to a point but I think the designs overall were just better from that era. The colorful, original looking designs from the likes of the Minnesota North Stars, old Winnipeg Jets, Hartford Whalers, etc are much nicer looking (in my view) than the abundance of black+metallic color you see in every jersey today.

Oh there is no question that they are god awful ugly, but I don't think that matters when you're going for nostalgia.

I wish the black stripe ended much lower on the jersey. Towards the hip which would give less of a "diaper" look to the jersey.

The yellow bottom is bad, I agree. The yellow under the armpit also doesn't work for me. You can see it from the front and looks like it comes pretty close to the logo on the one side. It just feels too busy to me.
