Daoust Super National 501 - Loved them had several pairs and would still be using them if they were still made. - Custom boot Bauer Supreme 100 - with BLACK SLM blades... they seemed to hold an edge MUCH better than the white ones. - Stock boot Bauer Supreme Comps - Heavier than my 501's but comfortable. Daoust (and Lange) was bought by Canstar and they really cheapened the 501's before killing them - Custom boot Graf Supra 707 - Comfortable but fell apart way too soon. - Custom boot CCM Crazy Light - Most comfortable "modern boot" that I've had..... Custom boot. I'm old school and learned to skate on boots that allowed for forward ankle bend and foot\toe extension ant the end of the stride. Back then, we did everything we could to get them as laterally stiff as possible but still have the proper hinge.... If you've never worn a pair of stitched leather boots that were properly broken in to your feet then you have no idea what comfortable skares really are.

At least Pierre just talks. Emrick sounds like he thinks he's giving a speech, and getting extra points for pacing, style, cadence, number of different words used, regardless of meaning and fit. He also gets lost in the useless stuff he's saying, and forgets the game play.

Woohoo my skates (Alkalai Crew) arrived fresh from USA yesterday. I baked them like a master chef and followed the fitting instructions to the letter. They fitted great straight from the box.....or is that bawx??....but now they fit perfect, like a glove, even better than my hunting boots. I am impressed. After initial inspection the skates are very impressive and well put together. They look awesome. Unfortunately I haven't skated on them yet.....they're still curing in the box. I will definitely skate on them tomorrow & over the next week. I'll let you know what I think. As for the aggressive stance angle....when you stand up in them you don't even notice it as the natural bend in your knees when skating, aligns your legs to the angle of the boot. In my other boots my legs are always at that same angle but more pressure is put on the tongue. Seems like common sense design to me.

Well I must admit you have a very 'adaptive' head. I have tried all of these helmets and they fit very differently from brand to brand. I stuck with the 9500 because it was the only one fitting me well.
