Quality of product does not depend on country where it is made but on people it is made by. You can find poor quality in USA and Canada. All it takes is an inconsiderate management that breeds not caring work force. In case of Graf Canada, in last 3 or 4 years of their existance, quality of product produced in Canada was often crapier than of the lines made in China. I hope people would put that behind by now. Graf Canada is dead and gone, people who ran it into the ground are no longer associated with Graf and Claude Lemieux is finally properly retired and exhibits no efforts to get involved in any of the hockey equipment manufacturing efforts. So we should take a breather an move on. Discussions like in this thread are targeted not at a company that makes the skates, but at an assumption that somehow a tarnished company's name will forever plague the quality of products produced under it. If Vaughn, would have changed the name on these product from Graf to Vortex or some shit like that, their products would have been looked at with fair level of optimism such as the case with Verbero. I do not know of the quality level, nor technology, or how long they will last. Until someone buys a pair of Vaughn produced pair of Graf skates (foreign or domestic), play with them for 2-3 month, and then comeback here and writes his review, all this talk is just fumes.

Ok, not mine personally, but I designed and had these done for a friends son, and they turned out awesome.

Yeah, fml, when I picked up the QRL I checked out an STX Surgeon RX2 and now I can't stop thinking about it. I think I have a problem... haha.

But what a good stable it is. And you can never really have too many sticks.

As much as I've always argued against the "only domestically made products can be of high quality" suggestion, that doesn't help them in their battle against their reputation.

So... the stable is starting to get a little out of hand... haha. Just picked up the QRL on the far right. 75 flex, W03 (same as the HD1, the HD Pro and QRL3 are W88s)

Update: Got the left skate most of the way assembled last night while watching the Pens/Caps game. Need to re-drill 1 hole up in the toe and the plastic I cut to shim my heel didn't work out the way I thought, so I need to re-assess and figure out another solution. Might just finish assembly without the shim for now and alter down the line if needed. Should have the pair complete by tonight. Realized after a few bolts in the toe area that I was trying to assemble with too short a bolt, so I adjusted and the rest went much easier and have gone back and switched the shorter ones out. I'm doing a dry assembly at the moment to double check fit. Will go back and add threadlock once I have everything square. Updation Nation: Finished them up last night. Salvaged some thinner shim material from the garage, re-made my shims based on the ones I had already made. I may need to increase the size down the road, but at least I have a starting point to work from. Found a Torx 15 screw driver too, which made assembly alot easier and faster. I was using one of those stupid "flip out" kits the night before and it was a PIA. Only had to re-drill 2 holes. 1 per skate to get proper hole alignment. Not too bad. Assembled dry then backed the screws out and dropped thread lock into the T-nuts from above. Everything seems solid. Laced them up quickly last night and did a lap of the dining room table. Hope to give them a real go on some Ice Court this weekend.
