A trick I’ve done is to use some hockey tape to make a pull tab. Never tried it when I used Speedplates, but it works great for Superfeet

As many of you know I had some significant heart issues this year. Three procedures leading to 5 stents. It took a bit but I’ve been really doing well now and am back on the ice and feeling great. Now today got more good news. Sonogram showed the blockages of my carotid artery dropped from 20% to 10%. Can apply that same 50% drop to the arteries feeding my heart. So happy the dietary changes and meds have worked. I feel like I’ve got my life back!!

If the customer is serious about purchasing and not wasting my time, or my staff time, I will happily bake the skates for them. The new store will have a 10x30 synthetic ice sheet in it so they can test out the skates and see if they like them.

Sounds great I will give it a go. I have the stock footbeds from an old pair of 1xs. They r pretty stiff and not super thick like superfeet. Keep u posted and thank u for the detailed reply. I have low volume flat feet, wide instep and skinny heels and ankles and super long toes. Im basically sporting hands for feet.

What size steel and what brand? I know some shops will alter the pivot point based on the steel size or brand of steel. For example, when I profile Flare I usually dont do as much forward pitch since I want to remove a minimal amount of steel possible. Also, I always tell my customers exactly what I am doing when I profile their steel. If they can't come back to me, or decide they want to go elsewhere, I don't want to be the "gatekeeper" to their profile. I know there are some shops that refuse to share details with their customers and while I understand some of that information could be considered proprietary I feel like it's customer lock-in.

I took up inlines last March thanks to lockdown. After many months without ice skating, I returned to ice hockey and skating lessons. My skating coach commented on how well my backwards crossovers had progressed. That was thanks to countless hours on inlines. I’m sure roller hockey can improve improve icecskills including stick handling, game awareness/observation and skating. I just wish I could stop properly. A power stop just isn’t the same. Now I love inlines, but I don’t have the control I have on ice. I love ice, but playing roller hockey on an outdoor park, surrounded by trees, on a sunny day, and then the sun setting as we finished, that’s magical. You play until you are knackered rather than till the end of the paid slot.
