I’m probably paraphrasing a bit of an earlier post and adding my own experiences here... for me it’s all about size and location. One nick near the back and meh, stone it before you sharpen and let it ride if the rest of the blade is sharp. An inch long lost edge right in the middle or in the back of the front third of the blade (right about the third of the blade mark from the front), and I make sure it’s gone. A small one in that range is a bit more judgment but I’d be inclined to stone it and then let it go too. Probably got through at least half a game with it there.

So many people missed out on the Easton Mako skates. We are loyalists though so I can understand. If it weren't for my desire to randomly change things up, I would've missed out how well the Makos worked for me. It was the first time I really didn't over-tighten my laces and, as a result, I felt much more comfortable skating.

I've tried the True tf7 roller. I like them very much. What I will say is that they are very fast, very comfortable and very well designed and engineered skates. The things I don't like are the look, the plastic materials that look cheap and feel cheap, and the tf7 tongue. But the performance is amazing. For comparisons sake, they are priced the same as the Mission FZ3s. The missions are tpu skates with cheap composite quarters and a plastic outsole. These are a one piece fiberglass boot at the same price. No contest, the tf7s are the winner.
