how do those AC2 gloves feel? Do you notice any difference in terms of the ventilation?

Played a game against a younger and bigger team last night... they scored their first goal after 8 secs. Game was definitely theirs, just depended on how many they wanted to score against us. After first period we were 8-1 down Halfway thru the first period, goalie stopped the puck, but never covered it. I went in to poke the puck, got pushed from behind by D Man #1, which caused me to collide with D Man #2 and the goalie, and all three came after me. Three against one, I just pushed back and told them to f-off. Ref gave #1 and #2 penalties, and told me he was giving me a penalty as well. I asked him what the penalty was for, he said 'slashing'. I replied it was bullshit, and he tried to explain. Cut him short and told him 'I dont need an explanation, you call it like you see it' Next period, same thing happened, this time puck was about 6" away from goalie. I went in again and got hit by #1 and #2 again. Ref gives #1 a penalty, nothing for me. One of my team mates then goes face to face with their best player, just squaring off, no gloves dropped. Ref tells both to head to the box, and the other team best player keeps yapping in the box. Ref ejects him from the game, he gets two game suspension. My team mate told him that if he couldnt hack it, to start playing volleyball. This guy ends up waiting for my team mate in the carpark ALONG WITH HIS PARENTS, and all three of them threatening my team mate that they would damage his car. The period continues with them still winning, yet getting extremely frustrated and drawing stupid penalties. End of game, hand shake line... I go to the goalie and extend my hand to shake his, and he tries to kick my feet out from under me... through the whole handshake thing I hear all the chirps and name calling. Talk about sportsmanship... Funny thing was, the game ended with us losing 8-5, and yet feeling like we won the game.

Big loss in first game of the season... Refs didn't bring their eyes last night. Got blatantly tripped numerous times, yet no calls given. Hustled my ass off last night getting to loose pucks, only for goalie to trip me with his stick... Ref was too far away to see, because he obviously wanted to save his energy for the other games.... What a crock...

First game of the season, 2 subs on bench against a stacked team with three lines of good players. Lost the game big time... But managed to get some confidence back against goalies. Been too scared to deke the goalies in the past, resulting in many missed chances. Got the consolation goal when I. Managed to deke him out of his pants and just slide the puck into the empty net.... Now if only the refs start bringing their eyes to the game and calling all the blatant trips that we're made.

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
fatwabbit replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
I think you mean forward pitch... I meant mounting the chassis more forward/backward to give you a more customised feel. Someone on this thread has done it both ways, mounting forward I think gave more speed, mounting the chassis more to the heel made you more on your toes but also more maneurability (*spelling).- 2858 replies

Don't forget to visually check the alignment. The wheels should be sticking out as much in front as the back, unless you are planning on mounting them biased front/rear- 2858 replies

go to mcmaster and you should be able to find tnuts and bolts. You can go with 6/32 or 8/32. Ive done mounts with both and while both are able to withstand the rigors of hockey, I just prefer to use the 8/32. However the 6/32 tends to be more 'forgiving' if you did misalign the holes. You will need a 6mm drill bit for the tee nut barrel. http://www.mcmaster.com/#tee-nuts/=h5x9ck You can choose the bolt/screw as well: http://www.mcmaster.com/#machine-screw-fasteners/=h5x9rt Pan philips head, or this slotted hex work. The slotted hex eliminates the need for a washer http://www.mcmaster.com/#machine-screw-fasteners/=h5xaf8- 2858 replies

Dont worry, not everyone has english as a first language. And some that do have english as a first language, still cant speak proper english. What words do you need help with? Possibly some of us could help by not using too many technical terms...- 2858 replies

Hi Hoguie, that looks like a great mount! I like how you lay everything out, even the axles are all spaced out and facing the same direction!- 2858 replies

Great job H... glad it worked out for you in the end! Hate it when people in the organization just drains the life out of everyone there

Played one of the shittiest games tonight in a 10-2 loss. We had only 5 skaters, two of which tend to dump the puck all the time. I tried to hussle a couple times for the puck, but then it just gets tiring to chase the dumped puck, and when you look up to center the puck there is no one there... which means you pass back to the point or defence again...

Yup, agree, thats why she suggested xrays to ensure bone wasnt damaged, and then said that muscles/tissue needed to be checked thoroughly

Doc's on facebook, so no need to post pics.

Was in my dealer manager's work car the other day, both of us supposed to travel 3 hours west to visit a customer. Hadnt even left the city yet and we got rear ended by a truck. Lucky we didnt get pushed out into the main traffic that was just zipping by. Didnt think much of it, but seem to now have neck aches and shoulder pain. Doc (who is hot in her mid 30s) says no whiplash or damage, but wants me going to the physio.

H was possibly playing and enjoying the game after a long stretch dealling with personal wellbeing. I know the feeling, was there before and finally got out of the rut myself. Played against a team this week that was pretty much evenly matched against my team, but I think we were a little more lucky. I got 4 goals, one of which i took right away after my buddy won the faceoff... hit post, goalie's ass, and then rolled in.

After getting a msg over Xmas that one of my team mates from where I used to live topped himself... I now get a msg over the weekend that our goalie for the past few seasons (missed the last one) has passed away from cancer... we knew he was going thru chemo in the last 3 months or so, and it was supposedly getting better. We even saw him at the last game that I played at, with everyone related to the team turning up to see him. RIP mate, you'll be missed.

Since moving, I've played on a few different teams. Seems like just when everyone is starting to click together, the next season everyone scatters to other teams. Most of the "harder" working players have decided to form their own team for the next season... and the solid line that we formed last season is now defunct. Two seasons ago the line mate and I that had about 40goals between us in a 18 game season broke his ankle... Send me back to where I was before this current location... my team there still wants me back.

Nothing from what I know, and I dont want to speculate either... The thing that hit me after finding out: I sent him a text message on Christmas Eve, and he normally replies to me with the nickname that the team has given me. However it was the first time he's ever replied using my real name... RIP brother, you will be missed.
