  1. They are longer and deeper than the old “D” width. My vapors overwrap worse than they used to with the lack of ankle padding and I have to lace them differently to get forward flex. was never an issue in my DAA vapors.
  2. I came from two pairs of retail makos, which I liked more than any of the 4+ iterations of full custom vapors. the first pair fit great everywhere except the toes. They were at least a size too small. Holders were 288 vs the 296 if always skated on. i sent them back and they made minimum isl improvements, I believe they just pulled the foam from the toe and sent them back. i still found them unwearable. True refused to continue working with me and just refunded the money. i have retail hyperlites now which are fine and generally comfortable but frankly feel like a generic boot compared to the true and mako which is to be expected. At this point, I’m considering retail true skates so I can control the fit in the store but am worried about durability issues from everything I saw with their previous lines.
  3. Order a classic/custom graf? after my disastrous experience with true it may be my next move.
  4. They look like a Bauer boot that has been painted by a third party to me. I also wouldn’t imagine Bauer would launch something like that in Europe and not N.A.
  5. That looks like the same curve I have
  6. The graphic on my stick is a super tack 2.0 but I believe he uses the old spear variable construction. ive seen some sticks of his with different shaft contours and flexes but the builds were the same. The only other curve I’ve seen of his was a custom toe curve he sampled.
  7. I would say it’s closer to an open pm9 with an almost max height blade. It’s least the version I have is.
  8. Are you talking about the belly pad? I only wear pro stock nexus pants and generally remove the drawstring but I also cut out the belly pad before putting in hockey laces. I’ve never had any issues.
  9. I would focus on CCMs. Almost any retail location should be able to place that order. Just a matter of if they’re willing to or not. Bauers are basically impossible because they have to be placed through a pro team, but if you manage to find someone to place an order let me know!
  10. Prostockhockeysticks.com has the malkin pattern available in their stock and custom sticks. Much easier to go through them and cheaper. Sticks have gotten a lot of positive reviews.
  11. What kind of plays are you talking about? when receiving tough pass on the backhand, keeping the puck in front of you and contained within your stick length will give you a chance to still make a play in a more balanced or attacking position. in terms of dealing with body contact, you have to know what’s coming before the pass gets to you, preferably before the pass is even made. That information will determine what decision/play you make based on time/space available. to better absorb the contact and protect the puck, you want to shift your weight to the leg closest to the point of contact. Upon impact, shift your weight to the other leg to absorb the energy, keeping your body between the defender and the puck.
  12. Looking for Nike practice jerseys and socksJerseys:Standard- size 56/58 (prefer 58)Swift- size 60Socks: Regular or largeHave plenty of black to trade if neededLooking for:(Solid)WhiteBlue RedNot looking for game socks. Thanks!
  13. Got my SVHs in and am pretty underwhelmed. They weren’t sent in the display box like I asked and the fit is pretty off. They barely fit in length and don’t have nearly enough volume. Tongue doesn’t sit correctly and the top theee eyelets run directly into my upper ankle bone with almost no space between. I can’t even lace them up. my question is do I go directly through true or back to the retailer for replacements?
  14. What will that change? I just ordered SVHs and the holder is my only real concern coming from a CXN with standard step steel
  15. Slightly off topic, but is the SVH model currently available for order? Has anyone been able to see pricing for them? edit: placed my order today!
  16. We have no idea what stiffness they use. Those ribcores could be equivalent to bauer +4. Further, who knows what their internal fit is? It could be a skin with any possible option or it could be a retail boot. Can't say without examination.
  17. He uses the 033 which is the TotalOne construction
  18. Eagle will order any color you want if you give them the color code. It's just an added cost and time for the material to be delivered.
  19. They want everything that's not the most popular specs to be completely MTO to control inventory and cut the volume of SKUs for retailers. Most curves from bauer are still available with lead time and added shipping through mybauer. I've had to place orders with shops at booking for years to get p91a sticks and this honestly makes the customer more in control. Just plan ahead.
  20. Hg95 has Reebok branding but is the same glove as Hg96 with ccm branding. Imo they fit wider than hg97/98 Hg98 has the black kevlarish overlay for durability. It's used in the CHL and ECHL As previously posted XP added to any of the above means extra padding which can be upgraded foams and/or shotblockers.
  21. Wondering if anyone e can help me get a stick order placed. Looking for the following specs: RH 1x lite se build 82 flex P72 Grip Extended shafts Black shaft color (if possible) Thanks!
  22. It's absolutely a ccm skate. They have offered that embroidery for a while, they will also do the heel for pro players
