haha will definitely have both garage doors closed when I'm using it. Its just nice that the sides fold in so I can store it just inside the garage door :) The downside is that my driveway is a bit uphill. Not sure how much that would bother me. I may move it into the back yard off the patio instead.

New addition to the family:

This is the venting thread, so I was venting.

Not directly this at your personally but I always try to remember this bit when I get screwed around flying. Puts it into a happier perspective. I've seen it. And its sort of true. I'm not complaining about the flying, but more about incompetent people. Also the fact that I pay quite a bit more for priority service and airline status, and it seems to mean nothing to the airline.

2013 Easton Hockey Catalogue

I loved the square toe. I moved to the RBK Datsyuk, which I'm finding similar, but shorter (more like an iginla with a square toe) -
Pilot?

That's why I liked Heatley. It was similar to Iginla, but much longer. -
So I get to the airport. I ask to get on an earlier flight. She says she has a spot, grabs my bag, and then hands me a new boarding pass - except its one of those "get your boarding pass from the gate" things. I go through security (which is easily the worst Ive ever seen. How the f*ck is SJC worse on a wednesday night is than IAD is on a Friday night??? And why the sh*t do they put families with kids in the first class security line?? So I'm stuck behind 3 families, plus a woman who has two carryon bags, a shopping bag, her purse, and then three bins full of her sh*t, who cant get the f*ck out of the way while shes putting her ridiculous boots back on so I have to wait for that too) I finally get to the gate, and they hand me a C3 boarding pass. So wait, I paid extra for Business Select, I have A-List Preferred status, and you hand me C3?? "We dont have any more business select on this flight"... WTF? The numbers are completely f*cking arbitrary. Just let me board with the A1-15 people, and it's no issue. But nope. So I walk away with my sh*t boarding pass. Then I notice that the flight is delayed 2 hours, and is now only 20 minutes before my original flight. So I go back and tell them I want back on my original flight. She gives me a lot of sh*t about it, and eventually I get handed an A7 boarding pass. I really don't mind flying, until they f*ck things up like this.

2013 Easton Hockey Catalogue

I'd guess it has something to do with the current generation of young hockey players who do nothing during practice but practice "the crosby trick" and say things like "duster", "dirty hang" and "celly". -
I wear long socks. They end just below the knee. On a positive note, I didn't notice at all how rough the lining of the Nexus 1000s was once I was all suited up and playing in a game. Just me being over-critical upon initial inspection, I guess.

Yea, I wanted to pick up a Gionta when I first saw it. Figured it'd be a waste of money and put it back on the rack. -

I'm not good enough at this sport to know the ins and outs of this stuff, but for me the toe curve just seems horribly impractical. -

Iginla, yea? Fairly close. I ended up moving to RBK's Datsyuk since I could never find a Heatley and wanted to try something other than Easton. -

They definitely offered the original Mako in a 75 flex grip shaft. I know, because I had one (that I had to warranty, which easton sent me a non-grip back... GRR) Not sure about the Mako2 (I haven't looked at the catalogue yet). -

That's not surprising. It was at one point my fave pattern, but the RS and Mako were the only sticks you could get the Heatley curve in w/ a 75 flex. Wasn't available in the lower models. I really want to try the Mako skates, though! -
In the same game?

The lighting in my home office sucks, but I've been eyeing the new Bauer Elite bag ever since it was released (also a HUGE fan of the Bauer Elite base layer stuff, mentioned above).
-
Yea, drove up to HockeyMonkey yesterday :)
-
I'm currently in the new bauer base layer stuff. The "Elite" model, specifically. EASILY the best jockshort ive ever worn. No straps around the buttcheeks but it doesnt need them because it shapes perfectly. Cup pocket on the inside, too. Maybe I'll try the long legged version (since i normally wear socks almost to my knees anyway). Also been considering the long sleeve shirt. Seems counter-intuitive, but if its moisture wicking, i almost think the long sleeve would actually be cooler.

Drove up to HockeyMonkey today. As if I wasn't already sold on these, I realize after I put them on that they have adjustable straps. You can move them to where you want them: My only complaint - the material used on the inside is REALLY rough on the skin. Feels like a damn plastic brillo pad. I'm sure it'll soften over time, though. Oh, and also grabbed a stick bag for Winterfest.
-
They don't have them in stock, apparently. Their shipping is free overnight anyway, so if they had them they would have just done that. I haven't been up to HM or HG in a while, maybe I'll just drive up tomorrow. It's only about an hour away. Since I can't guarantee how long they will take to send me my shin pads. Sometimes HM is very fast, sometimes its a week. HG is brutally slow ever since they stopped shipping out of socal. Not to mention it wont be free shipping anymore. I've been working from home for a while, and really miss driving my car. :)
-
IceWarehouse screwed up. So now I have to order from HockeyMonkey and just hope my new pads get here before the weekend. I also now have to pay shipping since HM isn't free shipping. *grumble*

Those are amazing. I wish I liked that style glove so I could get a custom set. Oh well :)

those are hilarious.
