  1. Thanks, I didn't know that because I had LS2 before and never stock LS3 steel.
  2. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't Flare use the standard factory profile of each manufacturer? Ls3 edge being a 9'? Its on their website FAQ https://flareskateblade.com/pages/faqs
  3. The p90tm is just as open as p28, the curve is just different. OP was looking for more closed version.
  4. Bases BC71 and doesn't have much rocker and is closed throughout. The toe is actually more closed (or less open) then the middle of the blade if you look closely. There is also the CCM p71, which is the same as the Gionta W10. If you go to Prohockeysticks it is the last curve in his video feeds.
  5. Yeah I guess I was thinking of the process differently. Wanted to get some a set of retail, holder not attached yet and have some mars blades put on them. I don't think that can happen because like you said, they will just be fully stocked on the shelf.
  6. Could you order a retail model off the shelf if True already has your foot scan from a custom mould?
  7. Icewarehouse has a video on youtube that talks about the FT3 Pro along with the new p90TM curve.
  8. What was the weight difference between v1 and v2 you had? I have shotblockers in the last version of VH, which is an extra 50 grams I believe. Looking at how much weight I could save to the new version.
  9. Any know if this is a change to their 2.0 version or just a visual change?
  10. There are plans for a 2.0 version of O1, if so is there a date?
  11. One thing to note is they don't make wide boots, so you'd have to use their regular width option. I am just getting this from the website so correct me if I am wrong. I wear a wide True skate and my rollers are a 10.5E RBK, so my only option is a conversion.
  12. I've been using them for a long time. Durability is really Good, especially when you get the sharkskin blade. I haven't used the supernatural but the ss10 is great stick. They also have alot of curve options.
  13. From what I understand this was a problem initially when LS edge came out, which hasn't been a problem in years. I read this thread but still got them 2.5 years ago on my True skates and haven't had an issue.
  14. Is this moldable? It looks like the one I had on my MLX, very flexible.
  15. Thanks JR. I actually watched a video on how they do it, alot more clear now with the template.
  16. Thanks, Nicolas G. When asking for a quad, can you make adjustments within the quad or is it profiled off of the quad template. Like on quad 0, could you change any of the 6-9-11-13?
  17. That's interesting. Yeah I'd like to see pics.
  18. I've been ordering through Base since 2011, and this last order I noticed I was waiting roughly as long as you. I think they just did alot of volume over the holidays, plus black Friday was before that. I ordered a blade last summer and got it in 3 or 4 weeks.
  19. It's weird they had the plugs because the tracing process was the same for VH. I had MLX custom made in a wider boot. Possible that they took your specs and made them to an off the shelf boot. Mine were two different sizes though.
  20. Took a shot off my inner ankle, really glad I got shot blocker. I probably would of been out for the season with a fracture. Instead it was a couple weeks with a deep contusion.
  21. I have similar feet you, 11 and 11.5 with 296 holders. MLX skates I had to get them to make a wider custom set and they had 306 holders. Also flat feet. I found just superfeet (no insert) with a custom tongue works the best and gives enough volume. Sounds like you have a few issues but you shouldn't be hitting the end of your skates. They either fitted you wrong or you didn't kick your heel back enough in the baking process. Is your LHS sending in measurements and a scan Also?
  22. I thought the softer blade flex was better for receiving passes or is it vice versa. Has anyone else tried the different blade flexes. Like stiff or regular?
  23. I would rebake, then go from there about forward flexion. This will solve your volume issues, if you want you could go right to the tensor method. Then you can work at opening the eyelets up with a heat gun. This is what I did. If you can get your foot in and out without twisting, then it's probably not baked right. I know guys that have baked trues 10 times. Ive done them twice and going to do them again after changing the tongue and insole.
