So, there are more than one of me, would anyone know if there would be a last for a 246 holder with steel? Alan
-
Good point, forgot about the girls. I think I have been told that True does not make custom lasts. No, it was custom insoles, perhaps a misunderstanding. My thoughts were on the last and may have been mistaken for the the size 5,6 or 7 insole etc. Since my insoles were altered in the heel area I want to know why there was no custom stock lasts that would not need this one change, but change the whole length of the last!

I would really like to pm this person if possible regarding the custom making of every scan (or request to purchase). Thanks!

Leif, thanks for asking! The skates were / are close, but I love a tight fit and still have 7.5 mm left in the heel area equating to one half size that I feel should have been taken away to some extent if not all! I am sure the outsole is not one that fits me as my heel area been shaved off a little more from my complaints that it almost as large as my last skate that was too wide. What do I have to ask for to get a last / outsole to fit a size 5 or True's equivalent for me? I have to say the skates worked well especially with pronation, I was over my COG and I had the best game since I received my first pair almost exactly to the day 3 months ago. I have some issues, but I hope they will go away after a couple of more games to make sure that he skates are not too wide nor too long as mentioned above. For every half size upward or downward the mouth of the laces (the empty space under the laces) gets wider or narrower and has an influence on your skating. If they are very narrow the skates is too long and there would be too much volume left otherwise if shorter the width is wider Also more empty space is filled. as you go up the laces and are a definite help in controlling your skates, so I have read. I have noticed this before with ill fitting skates that were a size or two larger, my laces were as close as anything and very noticeable as well I noticed the looseness in the skates. I am concerned that if I am asked again to have my skates re-baked and wrapped again to squeeze the empty space out that it may make my ankle pockets narrower, but with anything around the edge of the outer sole, as it is a piece of thick material not meant to bend, nothing much will be done for slack areas all round the outer sole! With respect to the length I believe True was trying to be careful so that the skates would not be too small, but how could they leave 7.5 mm in the boot as empty space. This is over a half size! The main fact that why I went to True was to get a narrow boot and the pronation was secondary. I am not sure if I have what I asked for, but I want to give the skates a few more chances. Somehow, if there is room to move in that boot it will come to the surface someday when out of warranty, for me and I am almost there. 🙂

Well they advertise Junior Skates and Custom made (maybe) all in the same breath! I would suggest that there maybe many of us that have smaller feet. My regular shoe size is a 7 approximately, that depends on what shoe or running shoe I buy. With my skates I usually fit into a skate down two sizes from that 7, so I take a 5 Bauer. Even if it was a 5.5 there still should be a fair amount of us short adults out there, but I am just guessing of course. IMHO you are probably right, but where does that put me in getting a last that I can count on? True must have more than one in the 5 to the 5.5 area, if not why bother advertising them. Maybe after this post they will be no more! Cheers - Alan

Can you tell me what is the pro fit option is? I had a size 5 skate and now the equivalent or close True. Is there no such thing as a proper Junior last? Why would the heel area need to be narrowed, upon my request and not just part of receiving a completely normal Junior last or insole that you would think should be in stock for those smaller feet like mine? Not enough information is given and I have suggested that the customer should be told more so they know what is going on when a problem occurs rather than just fix an issue and usually told nothing. Finally I have a pair of skates that I wore yesterday for the very first time and if I had not been on top of things by measuring my own product I could easily have been using skates that were far different. I have received great help, but I needed to be involved! I am still not sure as my heel pocket is still too wide and again I asked for a narrower heel than the old Bauer, so I am not satisfied customer. Some good help is there, but it does feel like True needs some warm bodies to do better work from the start and not having to go to management for a decent pair of skates.

Regarding the True Braddock device I asked one of the salesman to see if he had a True device that was supposed to be sent to them and measure my size 5 foot in Bauer skates. I was measured as a size 6 skate which is absolutely wrong in my situation, but then I notice this was not a True issued scale, I missed that. I use my shoe size of 7 and go down two sizes and once kicked backwards on the heel and laced up I am pulled away from any touching of the end of the toe. lastvSpringci was able to get a 4.5 Tack on and it fit well except it was a D and I desperately needed a C width. I am told that CCM had a little problem with their sizing then, so the 4.5 boot was explained. The LHS did not know if he had a True device or did not know if there were any differences! With a Bauer skate I usually go 2 sizes smaller. i would not think that a Braddock device would be different whatever the name on it. Am glad I did not use one last Spring or I might have gotten a much too small pair of True skates.

I have emailed Rob with QC and customer contact suggestions. Nothing more I can do! Alan

The red foam feels like plumber's pudy and I was told it is 1.5 mm thick, not much, but that was the standard. Alan
-
I agree with OldTrainer red is the regular, when added foam was put in after mine were first sent back the foam was dense and in smaller pieces and taped in place. My photos are 3 or 4 weeks back. Alan

Expect the best! Get the Brannock sizing done and send the simple foot tracing at least. Your LHS should add in any other pertinent issues so discuss this part with them. If the skates are an issue when received, immediately go directly back to True and they will help! Alan

Definitely!

Where do I find the basics, what page or section just to make it easier. Thanks

I guess there was nothing interesting other than my problem that was never complained of until last week! I do see more use the multi + post more often though!

I hit the + key for your post, does that do it? Maybe there are more post coming in all the time that I don't see and if I just hit quote it goes with the newest quote?
-
Yes, I was trying to reach Cigar what did I do wrong?
-
With respect to the toe box of the True skate I would make sure first to ask how it is made in case one does add heat and it can't take it or tries to Dremel it and find you have a hole through the toe. Just a thought. I hope I have posted this properly so all could see and not just the last poster. Let me know if I am wrong. SMU

Maybe I am off the mark, but True will build in that arch support if they are given the proper information and negative space will be gone. I hope I a on topic as I have not followed in the last few days. If not, ignore the post!

Sorry for jumping in here, but I am 5'5" and I always had problems getting a flex to suit my shortness and 130 pounds. I once cut a top of the line, 55 flex Itermediat Bauer Supreme and it left me with an unusable 75 lb flex. After this I then tried junior sticks they were good with flex and lightness, but because of their poor quality any hard pass would seem to go right through the blade no fault of mine, although it looked like I just missed the pass again! I did find a junior stick that could take a hard pass, but you had to go to the top of the line. A Warrior, Covert QRL, the same as the pros use, they do have great material in the blades as the pros do and now I could get those tough passes. This stick is in two flexes the 40 and 50. I have both, but not much difference, but I can really flex them while shooting on ice. Do not trust one brand's flex over another as their is no real standards. If you can bend it on the LHS floor don't just assume it will work for you that way on the ice, you better make sure it bends easy almost too easy to get the proper flex. The other thing about junior sticks is that they have limited blade patterns and the lie that they offer I am not sure if it is even marked. I would prefer to have a high lie closer to a 7, but there is no such thing anymore. With a high lie you can stick handle a puck when it is in close to your feet. What seems to be offered is a just a 5 or 6 variety and then you are not so sure. And of course the blade pattern stinks. Yes you do have to get over the smaller shaft size, but it come quick and the blade is an inch smaller as well but at least now, with my size, I really love my stick. The other QRL I have is a little shorter and I pick it up a couple of times every game and notice that I do have more control, but then slip back iti my regular one just to gain a little reach. Good luck with your quest!

JR I was not biting your head ofnow a member lashed out about multi posting. f at all I said I was confused along with other things, I have never had any other confrontation with anybody on the forum before and was never told about the multi posting. I am very sorry if you felt that I was calling you out, but frustration does get in the way at times and things are said that should not be especially when another member lashes out about me multi posting. and says something like “please , please will someone stop this (person)now”. It makes me feel petty sh...y and embarrassed. I did thank you for pointing the method out once again near the end of my post though. It’s got to be just sheer frustration with everything that has happened here. You will note that I wanted to shut this whole thing down last week, but it was hard to when I kept getting guestioned. My apologizes if I said anything to offend you, you are moderator and don’t need that for sure. Thanks for your understanding. :)

Sniper9, Would not it had been better if you could have simply told me what I was doing wrong instead of embarrassing me and the have the moderator do your work for you!

I was not insinuating anything, I was stating a fact. You misinterpreted my post or did not understand it. Again, what the heck did I do wrong by posting? I just hit the "QUOTE" button. It does not make sense unless you are told much earlier than this that it is wrong? I then entered my answers or thoughts. I did not mean to multi-quote people, I had no intention of doing that, I guess I never knew that I was multi quoting just by "Quoting"! Have I got that straight yet! I am not sure if I should post again because of hurting peoples feelings and may do it wrong. It is funny I see nobody dared hit the button to like, facepalm, sad, confused, laughing or thanking this time maybe they were confused by all of this or just did not dare! That's a nice way to be! Next time I post I will try and be more careful, but I am not clear on the procedure for sure now. But multiquote is for "when you want to quote multiple people so you have one post" and just quoting means that many people get notified. A little backward if you ask me, but I will do that. This time I did hit the + first I hope that was correct.
-
I am confused, but if I hit "Quote" only the above post is shown so am I supposed to hit + first? Before I get more of member's anger? If I do hit + only the above is quoted, what makes the difference. This has to be the most negative thread I have ever been on, as of late anyway! I try to help, somebody and too much I agree, but I like to help. Now and get slammed again with a smart remark from the same member not the remark you see now, but posted and removed. He does seem popular, I guess I need to be popular and not help, that's what to do! It's suggested I get as "much as I can $$" out of this fiasco and many jumped on the bus "saying lets go", unfortunately, it was late at night or early morning and I was on a second beer! That can explain why I was active. Yes I could do a lot, I know the law and know what I can and cannot do, but I would just like to have the cost I was first invoiced for. a junior size at $799. I gave my opinion that my LHS contact is the greatest and not to blame here, True, unequivocally said it was their fault! Why can't we just this go with that! Also, the issue of a measly liner for the skate, I sure wish I had not mentioned that little error! It is just that a liner nothing else regardless of what a case some are trying to make out of this and no matter what, don't blame me. Who gets the "brownie points" on this one? Let's see! JR, please indicate do I go + first or usually or what? Thanks

My misunderstanding? I must have missed a previous post. The post I replied to did not have this information.

I am very sorry, but what am I doing wrong?
