  1. T7 is +7, meaning it's a 7 1/4D skate with a size 7 toe cap.
  2. This skate, and this forum in general, is attractive to "tinkerers" who have extraordinarily high standards for their equipment, which is why 1) these skates are so popular here and 2) why these skates get returned to Scott so frequently by forum members.
  3. Yeah, that's about the idea. Love your drawing skills -- more people should be skilled in drafting.
  4. No. Scott doesn't do that in house. I'm sure he can get it done but you're probably better off with a local job.
  5. Really? Mine feel way more on my toes than my Supreme or Nexus
  6. The VH boot is already aggressively stanced, even with a LS 2. I'd guess the boot with a CXN holder would be as aggressive as the mako, if not more so.
  7. It sounds crazy, but while the boot itself doesn't get any longer, the heel fit changes so much on a bake it will put your foot further back in the boot. I went down a half size in demo makos and probably could have gone down another half.
  8. Anecdotal evidence (UW Badger EQM) has the SpeedBlade holder at the same pitch as the LS 2. Thanks, AfftonDad. This is very interesting stuff.
  9. Carry on, folks, don't mind me. edit: I like this forum. I like most of the people here. I wasn't attempting to call anybody out for their trigonometric experiments.
  10. He just explained they're not actual degrees. Why are we photoshopping hypotheticals?
  11. I had my CXN steel cross-ground before sharpening the first time and have great edges.
  12. Yeah, it's bizarre but I love them. I'm buying 2 extra sets in case easton goes belly up.
  13. Yes, the holes line up perfectly. Just had some CXNs put on my nexus skates.
  14. Well, the saga continues. I've been off my skates for 2 weeks due to ankle issues from my boots. The tendon on the outside of my ankles has become inflamed from the way the boots rub on my ankles and where my weight falls when I lean in turns. My ankles develop sore spots for 4-5 days after each skate session, so I'm taking some time off of these skates in hopes I can recover and haven't done any serious damage. These skates were supposed to be a cure-all for my odd foot problems, now I'm noticing they have more issues, just new ones in different spots.
  15. Same here. Heating them was a revelation.
  16. Elite Bamboo Compression sock. Very tight fitting and smooth, so I'm a bit concerned.
  17. I'm going to pick up a heat gun tonight and try bending it out. I have some gel pads I could adhere to the inside of the boot, too. That rub is through a sock, too.
  18. So, this just started happening:
  19. Scott can have them sharpened yes.
  20. I hope it comes out satisfactorily.
  21. I'm really sick of the entitlement of the people on this board. I'm out of this thread.
  22. Asinine? Me? The very definition of asinine is posting complaints to a forum before the manufacturer has a chance to even respond. I went through something similar with my skates but at least I had the tact to let Scott address the issues before I got all butthurt on the internet.
  23. You are 100% correct on 66% of those assumptions.
  24. Or, you could e-mail Scott and ask him if this will become an issue/how he will fix it rather than making ridiculous analogies about it on a forum full of people who can't actually do anything about it. Ask Scott what kind of solvent should be used to clean up the glue. I guarantee he'll have a satisfactory answer for you. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say for the beer leaguers on this board, the skates will NOT come unglued, will NOT fall apart, and will NOT spontaneously combust as some of you fear.
