  1. I was gonna say I'm pretty sure that isn't an S17. So the S19 is pretty accurate, or is that all talent JR? lol
  2. Got Derek Roy's stick from the Hockey Canada Auction. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it yet or not..... It's definitely not an s17, but the shaft is no where near as concave as a stock CNT. Good thing is the top of the shaft and blade still look brand new, the only blemishes are in the black fade. Have a feeling this might have been used in warmup or one practice and that's it; think it sat on the bench for the game as the tape is still new on the blade.
  3. It isn't even that far, just under 20k. Traffic is just a gamble and can be downright atrocious.
  4. $1500 shy of my X-02! lol. Sucks though, cause my 14 yr old brother just told me today he can't skate on anything else. Meaning more trips to the hockey shop just for fbv! (it isn't close, and with traffic can be a 2+ hour trip)
  5. Wow, I love that some sticks are still in wrappers. How do you pick which ones to use?
  6. With Drew's sticks and TBL's gloves, I'm pretty sure you could outfit the whole nhl....
  7. No photos from the hosers game the other night? Not that I really had any ice time, still would love to see my bambi like skating with those rentals.
  8. I don't mind paying more, but I thought more work was involved (hockey shop also takes about 20 min each pair). By the sounds of it, and fbv requires no more effort then an ROH? hmm, even more argument to get my own machine...
  9. I guess I just never thought of it as a premium service, just a sharpening. I guess that's fairly ignorant as the sharpening lasts longer and performs better.
  10. Yah, saw those signs yesterday, pretty sweet. As for $10 to sharpen, i'm pretty sure I only was charged 8 bucks..nevermind just checked the bill - 8.92. Makes a strong case for getting your own machine and charging less.
  11. Larry's Sports in North Vancouver must have the FBV Nope. They were the ones that said it was unproven and not worth the investment at this time. They didn't want to affect their current customer base.
  12. Totally worth it. Lasts longer and performs better. I'm upset I don't have time to get it done for my game tonight, and will have to use a shitty ROH sharpening. What I think is funny though is that no one really knows about it in Vancouver. I ask every hockey shop I go to and most either haven't heard of it, or claim it's un proven yet and not worth the investment. I think they need to get on MSH
  13. Wow, totally thought that was just me. Nice setup but that must be a magic carpet.
  14. That's hilarious, I can see Bill's skate shop from my office window. Have walked down there before on lunch.
  15. For 70 bucks grab me a left sakic! I'm serious, sending a PM
  16. That is one deadly curve. How/where were you able to score that?
  17. The old line was called Supreme 70's yes, but the skates he has there are one75's (with one95 tongue if I'm not mistaken)
  18. How bout mission's 3 finger glove?
  19. I don't know if they did exactly... I think they marketed it for 2 years and moved on. Check their site, it might still be listed as a feature... Nevermind, they don't mention anything about it all. Weird.
  20. Sweet deal, that's what I figured! See, this is why I have nothing to say on the ice, can't tell one from the other!
  21. your driving style is obviously nothing like your playing style, then. Not sure if that was a thinly veiled insult, or a compliment....lol
  22. Yah. Just starting getting great gas mileage with it too (26,000 Km in). My last fill I got about 8.4L/100Km. May not sound perfect, but it was averaging 11.5 for the first 25,000 KM
  23. Maybe that's why I dislike them as well.... Just always felt they weren't as "dope" as all the "gangsta's" thought they were. I think the reason i'm ok with mine is the cut on the back. Not as upright as a golf, more of an angle to it.. I don't know. Just never thought of it as a hatchback until after I bought it.
  24. Ironically, I hate hatchbacks (for no apparent reason) yet I own a Dodge Caliber. It's my first car lol.
