People still pay for the product.
-
Yeah but I think you missed the point. Bauer lets shops see these catalogs so shops can get an idea of what they will be ordering. They have a plan for the product being hyped, then shown at pro levels then finally to the consumer. Yeah it's awesome that JR and others get clearance to show product but obviously Bauer wants to keep this on the down-low. So unfortunately for us we will have to wait for those release dates to come. Ever soooo slowly.

Most recent pics I got. Before roller about a year ago. Men's league last winter. Pre one95's. Most recent. Saturday night practice at the brand new rink with college

Im confused, can you achieve one without the other? How is that done? Im interested as I just started to learn how to sharpen here. The edges can still be sharp but the hollow can be shallow. As stated above people think a sharp skate is a deep cut.

We just have the little hockey equipment elves in our basement make the equipment on the spot.

Well, you probably are. :) I used to combat that by signing the receipt saying that they went against my expertise. CYA, man, CYA. On our reciepts we always right what the customer measured even if the customer listened to us and took the size we told them. Um...a good inventory/POS program will have that in the description, on the receipt. It's the 21st century... :) The only way my store gets something new and technological is if I get it for the store...We're lucky we get pens and not quills. <_<

This doesnt sound like a "line" to me. Maybe Im wrong, but it sounds like they just left their wallet in the car. Do they not come back or do they try to pay some other way? If they come back in and pay, then it was obviously just a mistake. Of course women dont say that, as women rarely leave a purse in the car. From your post, I just dont see that as a bad thing customers do...hell...I do it at times myself. No problem, eric, The thread is titled "Things Customers Do", not "Bad Things Customers Do." I just find it amusing that a person would walk into a pro shop and go to the cash register without money. Maybe it's just me. When you spend 5 days a week working retail what happens is that when you go into any other store you have a mutual understanding and respect for the person behind the counter. Therefore, when I go shopping I always remember my wallet to pay and I treat the help extremely nice since it I know most customers don't. It is just a karma thing. Now that travel season has started we get to play traffic cops with the kids who think the pro shop is a clubhouse hang-out when the shop is packed with customers. Time to move along, fellas. I'm the same way after working in retail for 4 years I have seen every type of customer, so when i walk into a store I am always courteous, thank them and always wish them a nice day or night before they get the chance to wish it to me. To me it's almost like an unspoken bond.

We had a guy from my HS sign with the Orioles. He wanted to donate a whole new baseball field, dugouts [in ground] lights and everything to the school but the softball team got pissy because they weren't receiving anything so they nixed it.

Lets get a side shot of the blade as well. What would you guess the lie to be on that? Here you are... And as for the lie, it's flatter than my sakic but they lined up pretty well i'd say it's about a 5-5.5

Haha i guess its a good thing im a lefty lol

Picked this up yesterday at work while digging through our blades we had 3 priced mighty cheap due to the fact they were old and such a crazy curve so i said what the hell, gave it a shot last night and after i got used to it i really liked it. Oh it's a Straka pro stock from his pittsburgh days.

chs...I'm pretty sure you DO have me beat haha. Sorry to hear/see that.

Rustpot, actually I can't. If you look at the picture of the center console [or what you can see of it], they clipped a major "artery" of wires that without it a bunch of things don't work. The reason i say artery is in my honda all the wiring travels in one giant tube down the middle of the car and branches off [imagine spinal cord and nerves] So yeah and apparently it's giving the repair shop hell, they have some wiring expert, a schematic and another civic there to make sure they can get it right. Edit: But in any case sorry to hear about you car.

Dropped this bad boy off at the body shop last week...story follows pics. Okay long story short, went to see a concert in hartford [from ny] a friend drove my car got broken into that night in front of my house everything of value in my car aside from the speakers was stolen [oakleys, deck, amp, regular glasses] Thankfully they weren't hockey players... Oh the kicker to this is in the car was a piece of posterboard with blood and a fingerprint [pictured above] but these crimes [2 other cars on my block that night, 10 cars the night after and the past 6 months of this happening] isn't worth the cops going any further into it...but whatever nothing I can really do now.

wth what supremes are they at the top and how did you get them ?? Those are the One75 wood sticks.

We had a good one yesterday with a guy who after buying skates has become more and more of a hassle. We had a guy come in a couple weeks ago buy a pair of One90's with only minor issues [i.e. skate uncomfortable because it was brand new] he was understanding when we told him there is a natural break in time. That's where everything went downhill, he had skated on the LS2 Power steel once for 10 minutes [he said that, not me assuming] and hated it, okay we said what would you like to do? He asks for the regular LS2 steel and holder to be put on, we do that and when he comes to pick that up he gets angry that we charged him for the swap. He thought it was free because it was still a new skate, we explained to him that there is still a charge for parts and labor. He leaves again and yesterday was the icing on the cake. We close at 5 on sundays [we have a nice large CLOSED sign that we make sure is up at 5] and yesterday around 5:15 as my boss is closing out and I'm vaccuuming this guy comes flying into the store asking if we're closed.... My Boss: What does the sign say? Guy: Uh oh alright....so you can sharpen skates right? My Boss: Well we usually shut the machine down around 4:45 to clean it and get it ready for tomorrow. Guy: Cool so you wouldn't mind 2 pairs? In the end...we sharpened his skates for him. We weren't happy about it but whatever.

Got my Itech HS22 Mirror Visor Today at work. It doesn't look like mirror but I have a feeling thats due to the flash on the camera. It's pretty cool though and not to tough to see out of. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff131/w...33/HPIM0235.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff131/w...33/HPIM0232.jpg ...Second one kinda shows the mirror tint.

Yeah my boss asked him what he is going to do when all these mom and pop stores go out of business and you start to pay crazy prices for sharpenings because you have to send the skates out and wait a week or two for your equipment and can't get something last minute and that was what made him leave.
