  1. 1: The S29 is a fibre composite and not Curv. They will both bake mostly similar but the Curv will obviously be stiffer. 2: The fit will be mostly the same, but with fewer foams and padding it might fit a little bigger 3: Usually, yes.
  2. In the newer releases, if you chose the fabric liner, they include wear patches now. The clarino liners they still don't have them. I do know some equipment managers that have added them though and it looks pretty simple.
  3. I have the digital 2019 catalog if you need it.
  4. I think the opposite, the CCM FT1 is slimmer than the Vapor 1X. Agreed.
  5. https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn%3Aaaid%3Ascds%3AUS%3A68844d00-ff6f-4fdf-932f-0d4d41a61a9a I am really digging the vented toe cap
  6. 280 is actually fairly common on a size 8+ but obviously, everyone is different and thus what works for some won't work for others. I totally understand your frustration, and they really should have done what you asked or at least communicated back to you what they did and did not change before sending you the skates back. As for swapping to a smaller holder, I wouldn't worry too much about the holes if they are filled properly, but I do understand you getting new skates and paying a premium for such and wanting them to be done properly.
  7. Yes, I like them too. They are very stiff and durable compared to the LS Edge holders.
  8. What size holders are mounted? I skate on oversized holder myself as do many others without issues, assuming you have the steel profiled and pitched properly.
  9. Why would you need to know the difference between right and left steel? They should be 100% the same.
  10. I said it once before and will say it again, wait for the Supreme 2S Pro if you can.......
  11. For a while we had almost all players swapping the True/VH holders with Tuuk LS Edge holders but the last 10 pairs we have delivered the players wanted to test the True/VH holder first and liked it and didn't want to swap it out.
  12. Yes, I have. Been testing a pre-released version of CCM skates and also have the holders currently on my True skates too. Been talking to Tyler @Flare Skate Blade about getting some pre-released Flare for the XS holder too so I can start testing that as well.
  13. Yes, we sell a ton of it. The coating is not DLC though it does make it a bit tougher. The steel itself is very nice though.
  14. The holder and large Step steel are where the weight mostly comes from. If you change to the Tuuk with LS2 the weight will be almost the same.
  15. The STX top of the line is lightweight but still heavier than other top of the lines brands like Bauer and CCM. They also don't breathe as well as other brands. However, they fit nicely.
  16. The problem with both the Jet Speed and Vapor is they are flared aggressively and not as form-fitting and low profile as the Synergy line.
  17. I am not a huge fan of the Quad 0 unless you are playing at a professional level of hockey. I usually recommend the Quad 0.5 as a starting point if the customer wants to go with a quad radius. When possible I like to watch the player skate before making any recommendations but obviously, that's not always an option. The Zuperior (triple radius) is another great profile that many overlook as Quad profiles seem to be "the rage" as of late. If you modify the heel of it slightly it can be an absolutely fantastic profile giving a lot of agility, speed, and stability.
  18. I have a friend who is using a pair of Trues for roller and he drilled small holes in the top of the boot to allow his feet to breathe better. I'll try and snag a photo next time I see him. The way he did it is not noticable at all and he claims it works wonders.
  19. If you mean wear patches on the sides of the toe cap area don't think they are needed. Unlike most skates, since the True toe cap is one unit and is highly durable and oversized I don't think wear patches would be necessary.
  20. Your local store should be able to talk to the Bauer rep. Sometimes they will request a warranty exception, especially if you are around the 90-day warranty mark. Also, if you bought them with a credit card, which I assume you did, most credit card companies will double the factory warranty period. For example, had someone buy a pair of CCM FT1 skates, at day 120 they had a catastrophic failure and CCM would not warranty it. They contacted AMEX and AMEX issued them a credit on their account to replace the skates under warranty.
  21. Second pair of True skates that came in today with the fabric liners. http://imgur.com/gallery/od8yhIn
  22. Honestly, nothing on the market right now is similar to the Easton Synergy line of shins. What size do you wear? The new Bauer Supreme equipment coming out later this year will be the most similar.
