  1. They already have it, it's very similar to the Benn Pro model, most refer to it as the P90T (though that is the CCM specific model)
  2. Yup, the whole Fit1, Fit2, and Fit3 system for both Supreme and Vapor.
  3. I agree that a D width will likely not fit you.
  4. Funny you mention this, I also was looking for info on it.
  5. I dont think there was a way to play this better than it was., but I am open to suggestions. #25 couldn't commit to the shooter as he was facing a 2 v 1 himself and that would have left the second man wide open. #25 pushed the forward way outside of the circle and it should have been an easy stop for the goalie. I feel like #3 should have come across to reinforce the goalie when he noticed the other forward was not immediately crashing the net. Thoughts?
  6. Using a golf ball or wood ball is good for speed stick handling. Ideally, though, try and using something still about the same weight as a puck. Smart Hockey makes good weighted ball options. For shooting, I only recommend people use pucks. Preferably ice hockey pucks but if you want to use other options such as Green Biscuits make sure its the same weight as a puck. https://www.smarthockey.com/collections/balls-and-pucks
  7. To be honest, I haven't found anything that works well other than the Blackstone Flare edge checker.
  8. I can tell you about them and share pics. Not sure what specifics you're looking for? They dont do a good job going into detail about the specific at the retail level. Thats why we carry all of the different options in-store, so people can see and touch them in person. The new tongue is lighter than the others, has more forward flex, doesn't absorb water and doesn't break down like felt. I am kind of shocked its taken this long for manufacturers to start using options other than felt as standard as I have never been a big fan of felt tongues.
  9. You can measure the steel from both sides and the offset of the level should match both sides, when you measure from the left side of the steel and the same when you measure from the right side of the steel
  10. Some shops, like ours, have tongues in stock. What model are you looking for?
  11. I think depending on your foot shape and skate size some people can use powerfoot and others cannot. I use them in my skates as I have very low profile toes. Even with the tongue pushed in I still have wiggle room and I like my toes to be locked in.
  12. I should have just said strech wrap.
  13. I would bake them again and do the proper method of saran wrap. There is a significant difference in fit between that and the standard "bake and lace" method. In fact, we do the saran wrap method on ALL skates we sell regardless of brand. If you still cannot get the ideal heel lock, look into using ratchet clamps.
  14. What is your email address if we have questions about pricing and such?
  15. I am not so sure about that, there are already way more players using the new CCM XS holder than I would have imagined.
  16. There are a few issues here: * You are transitioning from an older pair of skates that are much more pliable, which I assume is letting you get better forward flexion as compared to the extremely stiff 2S Pro skates. Are you lacing them all the way up? You might want to drop the top one or two eyelets so you can properly get over the ball of your foot. * Your old steel is likely very worn and likely an 8' or less profile, very shaved on the toe and heel. More on the whichever side is pushed into the wheel first when they get sharpened. * The new steel is a 10' flat profile as compared to what you are using to skating on. Its possible your old skates likely feel like skis and your new skates likely feel like you're riding a snowboard. However, if you adjust the body mechanics you might actually see the benefits of a longer radius. * If you make these changes and still feel like you are "stuck in mud" when skating you may want to consider going with a flatter hollow. If that doesn't make things better you should look into getting your steel professionally profiled. You can either have the profile matched from your old skates or you can select a new profile. I highly recommend a combination radius but if you want a single radius that is fine as well. *Lastly, add pitch, if needed. If you feel too far back on your heels or neutral.
  17. I really wish CCM would bring back their titanium cage... Guess we will have to wait and see if TRUE makes a lightweight option to match the new helmet.
  18. Based on the feedback from equipment managers that have been testing out the new steel they still have a lot of work to do. My understanding is none of the players have been impressed so far. Thankfully, they still have time though to work out the issues before that new steel launches. Personally, I think it would have been better and possibly more lucrative for them to just buy out STEP. Maybe getting the injunction was the first step in that process to hurt them financially and then buy them out for less.
  19. Yes, you need to use a shoe horn because the glues and such become very soft when you heat the skates and you don't want to risk tearing the liner. Is your oven convection?
  20. The grey clarino liner is quite thick, designed this way to repel moisture from being soaked into the skate. Over time it can compress in specific areas, such as the heel and ankle. I always recommend players bake them again after they adjust to the skates and the skates start to break in.
  21. Yeah. I messaged them on IG and they flat out told me they aren't doing anything with retail currently. Only professional players. I'll see if I can get some samples through some other contacts.
  22. If you use a ProSharp you can leave the steel in the machine to blend the toe and heel, it doesn't need to be done by hand. It does, however, require the machine operator to know how to do this. Personally, if you have steel that you feel comfortable on you are much better off having someone copy that profile to your new steel. This is also easily accomplished with a ProSharp and a professional.
